I mean, say you make abortion only legal to women who fit your qualifications.
If a women is desperate enough for a safe, clean abortion because her circumstance doesn't fit your standards, even though she's equally as in need, what's to stop her from lying to get one? You can't train all abortion clinic workers to be human lie detectors - it's not as easy as you may think.

We dont make the qualifications for others, we make them for our own opinions. We cant force them onto others, but we like it better if they do live up to our standards, and they usually dont.

When a baby is aborted it is not an egg (which is what is being destroyed with your period) it is an embryo, the next stage in life, and by that stage I see the embryo as somewhat of a baby.

Yes I would like to see it, but it would never be done. Just like if someone wants every Friday become Candy Friday. They want it, they have certain standards in their mind for it, but its never really going to happen.

NO. we WISH it'd be like what we think. but have you even been reading what we've been saying, we cant stop a woman from getting this. we have personal reasons to believe what we believe. we know that no law will be changed for this, and we accept that. it doesnt mean that we cant still be against it. we will be with a law or not.

It's impossible. There are too many people who don't agree with us. You get what you want because most people agree with you. We don't get what we want because not as many people agree with us. That doesn't mean we are wrong, that means that our opinion is different.

^That's not true. It's not impossible. It used to be that most people were against abortion, until Roe v. Wade. And it's not as though that was based solely on the opinion of the Supreme Court justices - enough people had to support the case to push it through the lower courts.

But there is no way that after what's happened with abortion already that it will go back to the way it was. Yea, I guess it's "possible", but be honest, It's completely unlikely!

Exactly. I have religious reasons also for being against it. No one cares about my religious reasons, so no one cares about my opinion. It will probably never go back, it will probably just get worse (more and more people will be having abortions).

^It very well might. There are loads of pro-life people out there; enough conservatives to vote Bush into office twice. We had a conservative Congress for ages - it could. It's still a hot-button issue and Roe v. Wade was what - nearly 35 years ago? You can state your opinion all you want and pretend it doesn't effect people, but as soon as you start voting, it does. And so long as there are people around trying to have abortion banned or more selective, I'm going to be there trying to make sure it doesn't.

I guess I'm for abortion being more selective then. Well I can only hope one day I will see you standing across the room from me with your own podium and microphone, while both of us debate the subject one last time
