Carrie White Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 416	September 16th, 2007 at 01:18am ^that'd be smart too, but men have too much pride(trust me i know) and she'd have to fight for it. i forgot about vasectomy's DX, should've put it in. but still if they don't want anymore kids tie them or lose the sperm. getting abortions for that reason is dumb.

So what are they supposed to do? Continue to have a million kids? Oh btw her family has seven kids Wait...Why is it on thin ice?

Catholic? I'm Catholic, and birth control is perfectly fine with my family, abortions my family believes if they're truly necessary. is her family really religious or something? if she cant have either one she needs to be REALLY careful if she doesn't want to have a kid yet.

But yea I do agree you say that with such ease like 'oh they should just get their child adopted' Yea well the pregancy is no walk in the park.

Really Not Okay Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 722	September 17th, 2007 at 11:06pm Girl next door: Plush toy:if its rape, incest, physical, emotional, or financial, i can understand. in America a lot of women treat abortion like birth control, where you don't have to wear a condom, and if you get pregnant you can just get a abortion. this happens a LOT where I'm from. i think that's wrong. if your birth control failed and,with what i listed above are the reasons, you can get a abortion. but with those they're last resorts, which i understand. i just don't think its fair for women get abortions, take up appointment at a abortion clinic when someone really NEEDS that appointment, just because they decided not to take the pill or use a condom (this happens where I'm from, other people would disagree, saying this doesn't happen where they're from, but it happens a lot where i am). i do think abortions should be legal, but women should get a abortion if they need it, not as a form of birth control. it'd be better if the counseling happened in the US, but it doesn't. its expensive for counseling and most women cant afford it, and no one will help, and doctors just want the money. Ok...rape, incest, physical, emotional, financial. Those are a lot. And most women who have abortions would fit into one of those categories. Financial and emotional would probably be the top two. I think that that's too many things to let off the hook for abortion, but that's just my opinion. Saying that in any of those cases its ok is like saying that its almost always ok, which in earlier posts you say you do not believe. I'm a bit confused... (Sorry to go after one of your comments, it just stuck out to me.)

If you WERE raped or it was incest, I guess I could KIND or understand. But if not, adoption, I think, is best. Theres TONS of people in the world who can't have children for some reason or another and adoption is really their only option at having a family. And most people who adopt want a baby. And thats why I think it's wrong to get an abortion because theirs people out there who can't have them, and would die to have a baby of their own. But like I said, I can fully understand the whole 'raped-when-i-was-12' thing or the whole 'i'll-die-if-i-have-this-baby' thing also. I guess it just depends on the situation really.

Thats no reason to murder another human life. I don't think there are any excuses for abortion. We should not have the power of life and death. Simple as that.
