Fur coats and leather shoes

It just seems so pointless. Why not buy fake fur coats or fake leather shoes? You'll save animals' lives and a hell of a lot of money. Fur coats are hideous and tacky anyway.

It's easy: people don't need fur coats , but they do need leather shoes. There are a million of types of fabric that can keep you warm so you don't have to wear a fur coat. But , in the case of shoes , it's not just vanity , it's just the fact that fake leather doesn't let the skin of you feet breath. Which results in a very unpleasant smell. I don't wear fur , I don't eat meat , but leather shoes are a necessary evil.

I just don’t think there is any reason for it. There are so many alternatives to wear animal products that you should have to buy real fur and leather.

I couldn't live without my Adios (skating shoes) I may be exaggerating, but I do love them. But think about what people thought in like, cavemen times. Some might have been against it, but what else did they have to wear? I know this isn't concerning us now, in the 21st century, but..yeah.

Personally, I don't really mind it, as long as the rest of the corpse is put to use. BUT. I think that killing an elephaunt for its tusks is brutal, seeing as the rest of the elephaunt won't really become food for anyone...

If a cow is sent to slaughter for the meat, why not take the cowhide and turn it into a nice leather jacket?

I wouldn't go out and buy a fur jacket, because it looks nice. If it's fake, then fair enough. But I'm not too sure where I stand on this.
