i'm not really that religous but i do believe in God and Jesus. however i also believe in and practice wicca, now in the town i was raised in (and still stuck there) if you have any other beliefs or for one second, dont believe in god, than you're a satin worshiper.

so guess what i'm labeled as here......you got one guess....

i was born catholic but choose not to follow it. i do not agree with the church's teachings, nor do i believe in any god right now. persoanlly i believe that the preists and bishops and whoever else sit in a room somewhere and write all of these stories for the bible and then decide to preach them -- how do we even know that they are true or not? how do we know that jesus,god, etc. realy existed? if god is there then why does he make people suffer?

and i don't want to hear it is all part of his so-called "plan". load of BS if you ask me.

i am also really bothered by the fact that some people tend to believe that atheism is not a religion. yes, it is a religion... you just don't believe in god, and you believe that we go nowhere when we die. that is the difference with me and religion -- i do not believe in god, but i do believe that our souls will go somewhere and have a second life, rather then just lying in the ground.

but in the same token... i believe that everyone is going to hell. we are all sinners in one way or another, and i do not believe in saints.

Well there is historical proof that Jesus existed. There is no proof that he was God, but it is fact that Jesus claimed to be God. And yes Atheism is a religion, its basically when you just believe in the scientifical(sp?) view of the world.

I believe that people shouldn't be raised with ANY religious influence, and that they should chose what they believe later in life instead of being brainwashed by it as children..because that's what most religious faith is: Brainwashing.

My family is a little warped. We are all different religions. I myself am Agnostic and deeply anti religious.

Personally, Im not interested in a group of prehistoric men making up my mind for me about the important things in life, but if that's what you want, that's your deal.

The beliefs that I have personally, and yes, I have them, are based 100% of personal experience. Im a "see to believe" girl.

i dont think there should be any relegion because they are all trying to seek power. its like ....... old people trying to be cool like an adult high school. nvm mind this im totally out there. but i guess my main point is if god was real then it would bring the church modesty instead all the church cares about is money.

And the God in the Torah always seems so exclusive and vengeful.
I think people should discover their faith on their own and they should not be forced to follow someone else's idea of God. Even if the only thing they worship is chocolate.

i totally agree with the brainwashing, when i was younger i would live by the bible, and there was so many things i called wrong, in fact if i was still that way i'd be saying how evil mcr is and how most of you guys are gonna burn in hell because you listen to it. i was raised really religious, but when i broke it down when i got older and relised, i'm bi, i believe in abortion, i believe in evolution, i cuss all the time, i like to listen to music where cussing is pretty much ingrained. the list goes on and on, and i relised that what i always was taught was "wrong" in the bibles or church sense actually might be more right for the person and people can't live or just condem other people, i had to look on both sides, when i was younger i was brainwashed by the church. but now i'm still forced to go to church and most people consider me christian, though i don't agree with alot of it.

i believe there is heaven and hell but sometimes im justnot relgious and that bothers me because I'm cathlic and I believe in sins and that stuff and I believe that everyone has a God that they believe in and they have the freedom to choses which one too believe in I of corse choose my God but I think i am sining by thinking there are other Gods.

There are many different kinds of Jewish, so that is a very general question. I am not Jewish and can not name all the different kinds of Jews. I only know of two different kinds, but I know that there are more.

1. Believe that Jesus was just a prophet and that the Messiah has not come yet.
2. Believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

Its a bit like Christianity, but there are a couple major differences.

but its okay for pple to be religious because some pple need somthing to believe in. i just dont understand how somone can believe in God and spend one day a week praying to it thanking God for their bodies and souls and minds and then spend the other 6 days of the week killing pple who must have gotten THEIR bodies and souls from some other God. its just stupid

I'm a roman Catholic been to church all my life and to a Roman Catholic School and in no way do I feel brainwashed. I choose what I believe and what I don't. I'm a person with my own mind jut like next person and 'brainwashing happens all the time. It’s called propaganda and it surrounds you in everyday life through TV, adds, magazines, media ect and we are surrounded by this from birth, I ask how many child are left to look at a TV for hours on end? It's that 'brainwashing' a child? At least in religion the basic essences is to live a good life, its a positive message. And I think to have faith is such a comforting thing. It gives many hope and makes them feel less scared of death or life itself.

It’s called faith people do that because we have faith in something greater than ourselves and in my religion we are told to keep the Sabbath holy. All religions teach us to live a good life. We don't go around killing others or condemning others for what they believe in. We're taught that it’s not right to hate others, but admire them for having faith. I personally don't think it matter in what God you believe in or what 'form' that God takes. As long as you live a good life it shouldn’t matter what 'being' you come before if any.

But you probably would not be Roman Catholic if you were raised Islamic . That's what I mean.

You can be any religion you want: I don't care, I just doubt your faith would be the same. Your faith is a product of how you were raised more then often (there are always those who convert or lose their faith, but those are less common)

I understand but what faith you are born into doesn't matter because they all teach the same thing lead a good life and even if you aren’t born into a faith you are taught certain ways to behave and manners its just the way of life. And like I said before I have my own mind I can convert at any time or drop religion all together its up to me, just like its up to every other individual. Yes I was raised Roman Catholic but it doesn't mean I believe it.

That's true but more importantly Jews don't believe that Jesus was divine or in the divinity of any other saints (unlike Catholism.) And they don't believe in the Holy Trinity.
2. Believe that Jesus was the Messiah.
These are Messianic Jews who some other Jewish groups don't consider to be really Jewish because they believe what Christians do about Jesus. However they still celebrate Jewish holidays. (I don't care whether they're Jewish or not honestly so if anyone is one don't bug me about it.)

Another Jewish belief is that the Isrealites are the "chosen people" I don't believe that, in my opinion that's just snobbery.

I'm Roman Catholic, have been my whole life. I was raised Catholic (went to Catholic school up till the middle of seventh grade)--all though, I think I've become more involved in my faith than the rest of my family--and live in an area that is predominantly Catholic.

I don't think I've been brainwashed. I've been given free will by God.
I have to option to deny Him. He has given it to me.

Passages that prove man has a free will and God expects man to choose to do right:
Deut 30:15-18; Josh 24:15; Jn 15:6-7; 3:16.

They might not change your views any, and I understand that. They're just there to back up my stand point.
