I was listening to The Black Parade in the car and my dad likes the fact there is no screaming on the new cd.

most of your parents seem to be easy going! and how strange is it- it's always one parent likes them and the other hates them.

I won't even dare show them a picture of Gerard in long black hair...nor the black parade clip. They've heard the Black Parade like 100 times since I keep playing it but good thing is they're not very good at english! So they don't know what the song's about...

and Helena...they'll think Gerard is the devil reincarnate.

If they ever do find out...the sort of reaction would be worse than the reaction mum gave me just then when she walked in my room, picked up one of my books on street style with a few pics of punks, mo's, piercings and a boob in it...flicked thru it and sounded disgusted and said she's going to 'throw up'. That's nothing!

But since I'm 19 and old enough it's not like they'll ban me...but then they'll probably never cease praying for me to stop listening to the 'devil's juice'... ahahaha.

the problem is that they need to put it in CONTEXT.

I just dyed my hair black on Sunday, and when I got home from school yesterday, my nana asked if Hoppy thought I looked like Gerard, and my nana was like, "Because you both have long, black hair, and nice big lips!"

Odd much? Today, my mama was like "I wanna give Frank his birthday spankin's!"

here's the whole situation:

before: my mom was like, 'could you please turn the bloody volume down?' everytime i play bullets or revenge. and she thinks gee is a devil trying to drive kids evil..duh! but she hums helena..wtf? my sister that is about the same age as me don't care about them coz she's more into mascular jocks and not into 'undernourished guys wearing more heavy make up than she do..'..and my 8 year old sister..came flying from my room to the kitchen shouting she saw a scary picture of a girl in my room..duh?

now: i played TBP cd on my moms car and she said she likes disenchanted and cancer and she thinks gee is hot with blonde hair..wtf? and she thinks it's nice that there's no screaming anymore and the songs were a bit stripped down..and my 8 year old sister (now 10), always sings the first part of wttbp..and it's so annoying!!! and my sister that's about the same age as me thinks gerard and frank were hotties..but idc, she's not obssessed tho..

that's all. well i'm happy about the changes in my mom, and with my sister (same age)..but im getting worried and scared bout my little sister..she's getting waaaaay to obssessed with gerard, she did things that i never did out of my obssession..she's gonna be gerard's bride this halloween..wtf?

aaaahahah xxxmycalling your siblings are hilarious! gees I'd love to have sisters like yours- it makes your whole obsession very 'colourful'. Better keep an eye out on your little sis! and i reckon slim punk rock guys are better than muscles anyways that's off topic...

The Narrator, there must be something about the force Gerard's black hair! ever since a week ago when I started listening to MCR, I had a little desire to dye my hair black- not that it's blonde or anything...the fact that my hair IS already BLACK (asian black)...makes it more ridiculous.

Ok- to make this not off topic...i will add- what will my parents think if I went and dyed my black hair black...and eventually finds out one day that i've been listening to music by a bunch of guys with black hair?

Same here, i was watching an interview and she kept repeating "he's a cutie" over and over.






completly weird.

there's no doubt Gerard's a cutie- more than a hottie. Though I prefer hotties. My parents will never see through the 'darkness' of this band to think he's a cutie tho! (well- IF they ever find out- 2nd day I have the CD and they still don't know about it!)

off topic- MCR's lean towards the 'dark' side irks me tho. Their talent and artistic creativity is really what drew me.

my mom likes their music but hates the way they dress cuzz she hates the way I dress and I dress like them... and she is always trying to figure out who is who too.... she can only get Gerard right cuzz she knows that I fecking love him!

my dad on the other hand HATES them... he hates the music and he hates the style... he always asks if they are a clan or something and if we are with the devil... my mom always says no but he just dont get it... hating my sense of style and music is his life!
