What do your parents think about MCR?

I put on TCFSR and my mum heard Helena and said "Oh no! Not this one again!" and when I told her it was about Gerard and Mikey's gran, she said "Well, they obviously didn't like her much, did they?" So then I had to chasr her round the house before she'd apologise.

My mom calls it head banging crap, and my dad thinks they're okay. He lurves rock!!!

haha my parnets really like the new album. they used to hate them with a passion so everytime i see my parents i go OWNED

My mom loves them,
as they were the only thing that would reach me when I was really depressed.
She wanted to come with me to thank Gerard; on Wed at the signing.
I thanked him, of course...but she wanted to run up and tell him.
She loves the music too; preferring Three Cheers to The Black Parade...

my dad thinks that they are my cult leaders. but loves the Cover of Under Pressure that they did with The Used.

My dad HATES mcr... because he thinks that they're satanic. Well... he thinks that i'm satanic but i'm not. He hates the style and hates the way i dress...

My mom don't hates them, but she don't like them either. She can support the music for a moment but then she claims me.
She support too the way i dress.

i turned the "life on the murder scene" dvd on the other day and my mom walked into the living room, saw what i was watching and asked "don't you have some porn you can turn on or something? anything is better than this crap" so needless to say she doesn't like them much.

(and no i do not watch porn)

My mum likes them.. but only because she seems to like anything and EVERYTHING I like.. Everytime I get a CD or whatever she has to steal it to see what I'm listening to so she can feel hip or something..

Sometimes I think she just does that to make me want to be her friend..

MY whole family pretty much loves him.
I mean my moms the manager of hot-topic so she usually gets ME into the things i craze about.

but at least we like the same music. .. sort of.

oh no, I was playing the Blood extra track and my mum asked why they're singing about blood all the time...i just laughed (nervously- trying my best to conceal this music i'm listening to)..

and when it got to the line, "because I'm such an awful f***..." I was thinking- oh no, oh no- I hope she doesn't hear the word...(i couldn't turn it off cuz i was driving)

and phew! it went unnoticed *wipes sweat off*

Same here, i was watching an interview and she kept repeating "he's a cutie" over and over.

My mom is 34. Gerard is 29.

My step-dad doesnt mind as long as im not blasting mcr on my stereo when he's home....i guess he doesnt really like them.

My mom on the other hand likes them. she doesnt love them like i do but she likes a lot of their songs. she also likes the way gerard sings on 'mama' partly because they sound like pink floyd at one point and because she likes his voice. She loves the 'desert song' and sometimes wont stop listening to it.

After I told my dad how great their show was at VooDoo, my dad started jumping up and down like a crazy idiot. I think that if I like them, then he'll like them. Plus, since I talk about them a lot, he knows what they're about, so he understands that they aren't for the harm of other people.
I think my dad kind of respects them now....

Well, my parents don't care what I listen to, and they never have, but whenever I'm in the car, ever since high school, I would make my mom listen to all my CDs. My mom actually really likes MCR, and she even sings along with the words off of pretty much all three albums. My mom is cool like that. She even sings along with The Used and whatever else I happen to listen to while she's around.
We actually watched 7th Avenue Drop together today, and she would hum along to the new stuff because she hasn't quite learned the words yet.
And my dad, well, he doesn't hate their music, but he doesn't like it either. He'll listen to it if I have it in the car, but my dad's not as into music as he used to be in the days of mary jane and acid rock, so I don't much mind.
