^I read that as sitting in my fridge at first. I was thinking "that's a really strange place to keep concert tickets."

To be completely honest, I'm not as excited about it as I should be.
I mean, I've been waiting to see these guys play for so long, and I was devastated when I couldn't see them at BDO.
I don't know why! I'm just over it.
And they haven't even come! >.<

Tbqh Jules, neither am I.

I'm 1000 times more excited about Taste of Chaos. I couldn't really care less about My Chem anymore.

unfortunately, I agree. It's just been so long coming. I think once it gets closer to the date though, we'll all get way more excited. plus once people come on here saying 'zomg it was so good' we will all be like wooo can't wait.

I hope so, Sez.
I want it to be a fantastic night, so I hope I'm looking forward to it a lot more when it gets closer.

It's actually quite normal to feel like that. I go to so many concerts now if I got excited about every one I'd be in this perpetual state of excitement and go crazy[er]. I tend to get excited when it's announced then not again until the actual concert.

Trust me, once you're there and the boys take the stage, you'll care.

But I don't go many concerts to begin with - I've only ever been to three, and so far this year, haven't been to anyway - so it's not an issue of always feeling excited.
I don't know how to describe it really.
I think I'll be too disappointed after the show, so I'm not creating any expectations.

It's probably a good way to go about it. Cause last time I saw MCR I counted down every day and spoke to friends about it pretty much every day and anticipated everything, and I got what I expected; a great show. But I wasn't blown away like I had been at so many other concerts. When you expect nothing you can be blown away. And if it isn't amazing you can't really be disappointed.

I'm getting prematurely excited. I've been daydreaming about the concert on the train every morning. I only do this to MCR...my first love *soppy*soppy* I honestly will die of disappointment if I don't get a spot at the barrier. Call me crazy.

Is anyone else woprried it'll be shit?
'cause when I imagine going their, I imagine what it's like on LOTMS and stuff.
And Gerard saying all these speaches and getting the crowed pumped and stuff.
And Frank going nuts ect. ect.
But I don't think they'll do anything special.
Maybe for like the bigger shows and stuff.
But to me, Adelaide is only Adel;aide.
And they'd be so exhausted.
I just don't want to be dissapointed after waiting so long.

yeah, i'm sort of worried... but again, i guess if we just go there with no expectations, then we can't be disappointed. realistically, it's MCR, so we're going to be pumped anyway...

I totally, totally agree Renee.
I think, regardless, I'll enjoy the whole 'I'm seeing MCR' thing.
But as for their performance?
I just hope it's as brilliant as what they used to perform like.
I mean, they were good at BDO right?
But the thing is this is their own show... Yeah, I dunno.

I agree with all that actually.
I think it's special as far as seeing a band you love, but at the same time, I always freak out that I'll be disappointed.
Admittedly I've never been overly disappointed by an MCR show (apart from the complete lack of Bullets songs this year), but I dunno, things seem to have changed, if that makes any sense?

I don't want it to be all about Gerard being all sexual & all that crap.
I want it to be about the music, that is the whole reason I'm going.
I couldn't care less if they were the ugliest (or hottest) guys in the world, or about any 'scene' that they represent,
But it seems like a lot of other people do care about things other than the music, half the time I think even Gerard has forgotten about the music. Not so much the other guys though, I personally just think Gerard's ego has gotten so inflated that it's ridiculous.

Hahaha, I think I went waaaaaay off track there, sorry XD

^ I will be disappointed if there's all the Frerard and Waycest shit up on stage. I'm guessing there will be some, but s'long as it's not over done, y'know? I know so many fans seem to get off on it, but I can't stand it, to be honest. It should be solely about the music. The way it was.

I didn't think MCR were that crash at BDO, though. I mean, I wasn't disappointed [only one of may bands have ever let me down and it wasn't MCR], I just thought that they're not suited as a festival type band. Much better indoors.

oh...i see it in another way- I take MCR's shows in one whole package that includes essentially, the music, what Gerard is like onstage & anything else they feel like getting up to on stage. I know Gerard can get really performance like it's almost egotistic- I think he does it for showmanship that borrows from theatre...he's a very creative person in every area as I know- I think think he's polished up his onstage actions alot, so I'm really persuaded he's into drama & not ego. It seems to me that some people love music for the music & nothing else with it, but I know I'm a bit of a craver for dramatic shows (like the Horrors, which asha don't really have a care for lol), so I'm not fussed if MCR puts on some acts.

I said I'd die of disappointment if i don't get a front spot, but just being there & hearing his singing voice will make me very happy indeed...that was actually my first sole reason for even thinking about going to my 1st MCR concert in jan Very Happy

Oh it's not that I don't like bands putting on a show or anything (like Grinspoon, Phil used to be absolutely crazy, and I loved it lol), I just... I don't even know how to explain it really >.<

I agree with Rhiannon though, they aren't really an outdoor band lol.
Even though I've seen them in outdoors twice XD
Their sideshows are sooooo much better.

maybe...they're just not like what they used to be. I mean, I never got to see them in the Helena days, that's a real pity- I think if i saw them live back then, I would miss the old MCR...but i'll love them even more for what they are now. Looks like they're entering a new stage in their music- i like them moving forward...it reflects that their life is moving somewhere. I take that as a good thing?

yes, mcr is weird outdoors

I don't want Frerard stuff.
Put on a show, that's fair enough.
But don't get the fans active by feeling each other up.
I'd have thought MCR was a bit past that stage. -.-
It was fun when the music was. Like, back in the Three Cheers days, the music was that angsty, yell at the top of your lungs music, and they could afford to act like total idiots because that was what the music was about!
But now, I just feel as though TBP is a lot more serious, and grown up.
Which I don't have a problem with, but the Frerard and whatever doesn't hype me up anymore. It just puts me off.
I dunno. I just have a feeling I'll be disappointed.
And I don't want to be!! I want it to be great!!

you have your reason there with the Frerard thing.
I so agree with you on their angsty days...I really really really really want them to bring it back just so I would know what they were like!! but that's not going to happen.

It will be great it will be great it will be great...just think about it...how often does MCR realease an album & how often they come to australia & how long we'll have to wait till the next one? I'm just scared of how long i have to wait till they come back next time (with a new album)...& what else will fill that hole once the MCR hype goes down for a bit

Lol, that logic doesn't work too well though... I've already seen them 4 times in like, a little over a year hahahha.
& with the next one, it'll be 5 times in just under 2 years XD
