I think the reason I'm not excited to see them anymore is because I don't think they're my favourite band anymore. Hah, that was really hard to say considering they've been my life for the last 2 + years.

But, they've changed. I'm Not Okay came on TV a couple of weeks ago and I got amped to be seeing them again, but I'm not seeing that band anymore and I hate that fact.

I'll know I will look forward to it soon, but I don't think it'll ever be the way it used to be.

this is starting to sound very depressing! i'm really getting nostalgic about the old mcr...it's not helping at all. They always do Australia last & by the time they get here the Black Parade would've been more than a year old- people aren't talking about it as much so realistically I have to say the shows will never match up to the early ones.

I have to admit, i'm starting to 'have my days' with MCR songs. One day I'd be 'drenched' in their songs to my heart's content like it's the first time i've heard them, then the next day I won't feeling anything at all.

I watched Helena last night- i haven't seen it in ages- & the MCR-ness of it struck me like...like a blow in my guts. Then i start wishing the old MCR back :S

asha, that's if you follow them around on tour! how long was it between 3 cheers & black parade?

Lol nah, I only went to the Sydney shows!

I saw them once with Green Day, then they had their own sideshow the next night which I also went to.
Lol, that was soooo funny, it was at the beginning of year 12, and no joke almost all of our textiles class was going to both concerts (thus also having 3 days off school lol), and our teacher went right off at us XD
When we got back to school after the concerts, she ranted at us about it sooo much, and asked us if the concerts were worth sacrificing our marks, then wasn't impressed when we all replied with a yes.
We actually got detentions for that XDDD

Anyway, I also saw them at Sydney BDO this year, and then the sideshow at the Hordern a couple of days later.
I would have gone to the one at Luna Park too, but I already had tickets to The Killers XD

Ummm, the Three Cheers tour was December 05, and Black Parade (well, the first leg anyway) was January 07, so a little over a year.
Not bad considering they're a pretty big international band.

gees my textiles class could've been so much more exciting. Punk music did not even exist amongst the people in my class- half the girls wagged to get tans at the beach in summer & I sat with the good students LOL- I knew nothing of punk then, how weird. But if I were you I would've totally wagged & shocked my teacher more than making her angry if the now me was in yr 12.

that detention was so worth it

i guess you took all your chances except the luna park one. I can't turn back time can I?

hey for us confused/annoyed people at the Frerard thing, I think I've found an explanation for it straight from Gerard's mouth here:
http://www.buzznet.com/www/search/videos/recent%20radio%20interview/22311791/

it's the last few sentences of the vid.
& that's why i think they do the Frerard thing all the time. They want to 'aggravate every homophobe in the audience'...& change ways of thinking

If anyone can be bothered, could you type out what Gee said, pretty please? My puter doesn't have sound. How ghey. XD

And on what Jules said - I agree. The TBP stuff does seem a lot more serious, but I think perhaps that's one of the advantages of having them perform as TBP first, then coming back and performing as MCR. Perhaps the second set will be more like seeing them in their Helena days. I hope.

I am gutted about the no Bullets on the set, though, because I saw the Helena days. I never saw the Bullet days, for obvious reasons. I would kill to hear Our Lady of Sorrows. I'm still clinging to the [perhaps false] hope that we will get Bullets, cause we're Aus and we missed out earlier.

No matter how good they are, I'm pretty sure I wont get as excited as I did post-concert the first time I saw them. I used to be on a high for week post-concert, but now I go to so many gigs it's just not as special anymore. I'm pretty sure I'll be on a total high on the night, though,

^ the thought of hearing lady of sorrows live makes my guts churn with love for MCR. What can make them play *any* of the bullets songs? Why don't they play their oldest and best songs? whyyyyy

so is it right that after singing BP songs, mcr will go & change into other clothes for 3 cheers? maybe they made TBP so different because it's their 'alter ego'?

S'long as we get the same show as everywhere else, then yep. They even talk about My Chemical Romance as if they are another band when they are on stage as The Black Parade. I read that Gerard said something to the effect of "My Chemical Romance are up next, if you're into that shit." That's only from memory, so it's probably misquoted. But the point being, it really is treated like two different bands on the night; TBP is MCR's 'support'.

I don't know for sure if they're wearing the Revenge outfits during their second set because I haven't seen pictures nor heard anyone talk about it, but I'm guessing so. Which will be so awesome, cause we never got to see those outfits.

i cant wait to see them again on nov 30... i saw them for the 1st time at sydney bdo, then again the next night at luna park. i know what you guys are saying about the old stuff. I didnt really catch onto them til after they toured here with green day, but my favourite cd is bullets, so i am desperate to hear them play some of that stuff live... maybe a petition is in order. lol i dunno, i guess i've just watched LOTMS so many times and i wanna see it come to life...

Oh, no joke. I truly truly truly hope they play Bullets stuff. They wouldn't have a full set if they only played Revenge songs though, would they? Though, if they're playing the whole TBP cd, then i suppose that would be long enough. Sigh. I would love to see Headfirst for Halos live, but really, ANY Bullets would be amazing.

^ That's what I was thinking too, but then they didn't play anything from Bullets on their sidewshows in January, so I dunno =/

It'd be a bit crap though if they did act as though it was 2 bands, and then only did half of the Three Cheers stuff,
I mean if they want to act like 2 seperate bands, then they should play two FULL sets lol.

ohhh yesss i'm into petitions XD
hopefully they remember that australia never got to see revenge outfits, but i don't expect them to remember what they wore to down under after doing 500 shows after that.

I think they are playing a full set when they come out as MCR, but just Revenge songs. Perhaps the full album but not in order. I haven't actually seen the setlists from the other countries' shows, it's only stuff I've read. I kinda don't want to look into it too much. I hate spoilers, and as far as I'm concerned, looking a photos of the shows and reading setlists are spoilers. I really just wanna wait and see and be surprised. It's totally gonna get spoiled for me, though, cause my line-friends are doing the whole tour.

i wonder how much our shows will differ from other countries... i've seen a few international bands perform in aus and they never seem to have much of a set. MCR kept it all pretty minimal for bdo & luna park, but i'm hoping they have the whole set, pyrotechnics, gerard in a hospital bed etc... it would be a shame to miss out on it.

I'm going to be angry if we don't get the full Black Parade production. I don't want the set they used for Projekt Rev, I want the real thing.

We are getting the full production. Gee said himself they weren't going to come back unless they could give us the full show. That's why the shows are at bigger venues this time around, they needed venues that could handle the full show. It's going to be nothing like the side shows. And we'll have all 5 guys.

... pending that nothing goes wrong between now and then. *touches wood* Damn the curse of the Black Parade.

its highly doubtful that theyll play anything from bullets especially when they say the songs are too long for them to play live and that theyre glad they have more material so they never have to do bullets again.
it would be awesome if they did though =]
im looking forward to the show, i went to green day to see them but missed their side show so i havent actually seen a revenge show Sad but this will be my third mcr show
my uncle is taking me since none of my friends want to see them again cuz theyre poo heads so im hoping my uncle is impressed by the show
