Gosh you guys, this has turned into a depressing thread!

I was talking to my mum this morning and found out that she actually wants to see MCR at the Brisbane show. And I'm like...you're telling me this now? I didn't know she liked them that much!

So now I'm trying to get my hands on a seated ticket which isn't in rows S or T :\

what a cool mum you have. whats wrong with those rows?

Oh I'm just hoping that I might be able to get some closer seats, some how. If no one ends up selling any closer to the date I'll probably get them.

Hahaha, I could've got out of a shift had my manager put me on... really, I could just go after work, but no. I'm going to line up early. I think. Depending what my friend wants to do. We shall see. But yeah, it's just better to apply for it off, because then he has NO excuse to roster me on... especially seeing as I work mondays.

wow, it seems like the general consensus is that alot of people are getting sick of mcr's black parade at this time- at least for the old fans. If mcr had any ideas of what people think of them now they must be disappointed. The MCR myspace posted a link in a bulletin to a voting site on mcr stuff...i couldn't believe how many people complained they wanted the old MCR back.

i wonder how much of black parade era fans actually love their old stuff just as much?

Three Cheers will always be my favourite era, not only because I became a fan at that time, but also because I think that's when the band were at their best not just music wise, but personality wise and the way they respected their fans back then.

Now I feel like a nuisance or something.

i know exactly what you mean. sometimes i just feel like they've got enough fans now, they don't have to make an effort anymore. so many people have such a strong emotional connection with their music and all they want is for the band to know and appreciate how much this band means to people.

I think they've just lost how 'down to earth' they used to be.
They used to seem so grateful for just having people who listen to & love their music, and now it seems like they've kind of lost their love for it, if that makes any sense (I don't think it did, I had about 39074 different trains of thought just then lol)

I dunno.
Everybody I know personally (and a few off INO as well) who has met Gerard say that he is a complete ass in person, and I think that's starting to come across to a whole lot of MCR's fans.

Wow.
That really makes so much sense.

I thought about it, but not quite like that.

On the subject of tours. My dad promised me I could go to the Brisbane show. When I lived in Brisbane... unfortunately living there didn't work out, and so I've had to leave the country and now my friends do get to go without me. They know how much I wanted to go.

Oh well.. you know. At least I can afford the limited edition velveteen Black Parade box thing. I can also afford a flight and tickets to Australia, but Mum said no, she has to talk to dad for that, and that's out of the question. I can afford a flight and tickets to the Auckland show in New Zealand. But no, Mum doesn't want to go, and the bassist in my band (who's taking a road trip up there) isn't trusted enough to take me (she's eighteen, I'm a little younger than that).

It's rather frustrating.

Why can't they just come down the Wellington and perform at our stadium? It can easily fit two or three more thousand than the Vector Arena (the Auckland venue)

Even better, why am I not in Australia???

about meeting Gerard way, I'm not even going to try argue whether he's nice or an ass. I hear either that he's real nice & he's real polite etc or he's a total snob & snubs his fans (the excuse for that behaviour could be bad mood ha). Ideally, i would love to know that Gerard is a real nice person for how much I adore their music. I could imagine how disappointing it would be to finally meet your hero only to be snubbed. How hard would it be to continue loving their music?

If anyone's heard Aiden's new album ('Conviction'), imagine if MCR's next album turned out to be as failing as that one. I'm using Aiden because their earlier stuff is simply amazing & raw & fully powerful but I feel they snuffed out their own flame with Conviction. MCR's next album will decide life or death for their band I'm afraid.

^ If there is a next album. tbqh, I doubt that they'll even get that far.

I met the band back in January at BDO, as quite a lot of people did, and I can't say Gerard was as much of an ass back then as he has been at recent tours. I have friends on INO who have had Gerard and Lyn Z walk straight past them (a whole group of fans) without even so much as a fucking wave. It's happened on many ocassions.

I'm not going to waste my time waiting after the show for them, but in saying that I really, really want to meet Frank. He is, IMO, the only member who still gives a shit about the fans.

^ There are no words to describe how amazing and genuine Frank is. He's so nice and I can't see him ever changing. It's going to be so different with him there this time around. I think the prospect of seeing Frank has me more excited about the show than anything else.

I do think there will be a next album, though.

I met Frank back on the first Australian tour, and he was a really nice, and seemingly genuine person. He was the only guy from the band who actually bothered to meet with fans & talk to them after the show, although Mikey did walk past & give us a wave lol.

Tbh, I don't really care if there is a next album or not.
I feel really bad saying that, but it's true.

Meh, just watching them in concert is good enough for me. MCR don't owe people anything other than putting on a great show. I agree when people are saying that it seems as though Frank is the only genuine person left. Obviously I don't know the band members personally so I can't really be one to judge, but from the stories I've heard that Frank is the only one who actually meets with fans etc, it seems true.

As long as they bring some pyrotechnics, I will be happy.

If we meet themafterwards and stuff, i hope they're nice.
But tbh, who cares if they're not?
If they're not nice, and dont take the time to come meet us, they're only human.
You can only grin and wave for so long.
If that makes sense.
As long as they're not rude.

As much as it would kill fans, I couldn't blame Gee or any of the other members of the band for snobbing fans. We all know they have an army of rabid teeny fans, imagine them virtually stalking you at every corner. You'd get tired of it eventually and some days just wouldn't wanna talk to any fans. Many fans [of all bands in general] seem to think they owe it to them to speak to them after shows or on the street, but the truth is they don't owe you a thing. It's their job to make albums and play music, nothing else. If they give you their spare time, then great, but they're entitled to ignore you, too.

On that note, friends of mine did the whole tour last year and during the second Brisbane show didn't line up, instead they waited outside their hotel with signs reading 'please stop? high fives?', MCR were driving past and actually stopped the car, got out and gave them high fives and spoke to them. They didn't have to, but they did. They were all so nice to them. Mikey was so shy that he didn't say a word. XD I haven't met them myself [I'd be too scared to, honestly], but I believe they're all genuinely nice guys. I also believe that if they have snobbed off fans at any stage they'd have legitimate reasons ,and that most stories about said instances would have been embellished by hurt or angry fans.

i don't mind aiden's new album, sure it's not as good as say, Nightmare but it's still good. i think they tried to do something different, as wiL said they were gonna, but it just isn't as strong as the older stuff but i don't mind it's still good [/spam]

just wondering; is anyone else that much of a lifeless loser they're gonna dress-up for the show
=silence=
some random: no...no that's just you.
i was thinking of getting my mom [cause that's how cool i am] to make me a black parade outfit, i was hoping for a Fear dress :] but she can't start that til she finishes my prom dress which, apparently, is 'more important' lol
