| CAcT '-.-' tux Salute You in Your Grave Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | that news sounds rather vague & greyish. "rejigged set"? and finished up in Mexico? why mexico? australia was the last place they went to for Revenge & i'm sure they gave a full show right? This is the Black Parade & how come they don't want to give us the full glory of it? So they're not filming it here? what, Australia's population is too small for big crowds they want for the dvd? (i guess that's got to do with production schedule) if they don't turn up in costumes I am raising my puny fist. The first moments i fell in love with MCR & WTTBP gave me a dream of seeing them in costumes because I have not seen any other rock band that has put so much effort in creating an album plus dressing themselves like that from head to toe. They literally stunned me. When mcr came in Jan without costumes I was content just to see them as mcr, but I was certain they'll come back with the full set so I've been looking forward for that long. now they've poured a bucket of cold water onto their concert. but i'd wait for more definite news before I really raise my puny fist. |

Whether it's the end of TBP or just the end of the TBP DVD. *shrug* Didn't help that when I read it I was doing a bazillion different things at once, I couldn't concentrate. Oh, and as far as the Revenge shows go - in '05 Australia never got the full show. We never got revenge costumes. Just casual clothes. That's why I was hoping they'd be wearing the revenge outfits this time around. |
| CAcT '-.-' tux Salute You in Your Grave Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | i heard from my friend Gerard wore his Helena outfit in 05? but revenge has the bullet proof vests right? damn, if they don't give us fireworks & all, I feel really bad for half making my 2 friends come along cuz I told them it will be a 'spectacular' & I think that's what made them say yes. |
| Rh!annon Salute You in Your Grave Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | Yeah, Revenge was the bullet proof vests and stuff. I love Frank in his, just quietly. XD I spose we'll find out soon enough what we're getting. |
| omg stfu Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 19648 | I want confetti. That's the one thing I was most excited about. |
| CAcT '-.-' tux Salute You in Your Grave Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | confetti? there's one thing that's like confetti but even better. Have you seen those huuuuge balloons that gets released from the ceiling & they all hold confetti inside...bounces around until someone manages to pop them. But wouldn't confetti kind of overdo the black parade atmosphere? (unless the confetti is black) |
| asha shake. Devil's Got Your Number Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 36414 | Black & silver confetti would be awesomeeeeeeeeeeee. |
| CAcT '-.-' tux Salute You in Your Grave Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | yes and what about black confetti in shapes of bats? woooo... (unleash the f***ing bats!) |
| omg stfu Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 19648 | CAcT '-.-' tux:They did have confetti, though. I was most looking forward to trying to catch it, lmfao. Now we most probably don't have that, my excitement factor is like zero. I really don't want to go. "/ |
| domeofstars Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 493 | ^^ What, you'd rather stay home and watch DVDs? Sorry, but this issue is starting to annoy me. If we don't get the full production, there's nothing we can do about it, and I do agree that it would be really shitty of them to build up our anticipation of the show and not deliver it. But regardless of whether they'll be costumes, confetti and pyro, it'll still be amazing, and that's all we can really hope for at this stage. Plus they might even play some Bullets if that's the case |
| Rh!annon Salute You in Your Grave Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | I kinda don't get the "OMG I'm so not gonna go if we don't get the full production." Cause hell, I'd go even if they were playing in their PJs in a dingy attic with second hand instuments. And I'd still probably line up for 13 hours. But hey, that's just me. |
| omg stfu Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 19648 | domeofstars:It's not about whether we get the full production or not, tbqh, it's about the fact that I have to drive 7 hours to get there and miss three days of school and I'm starting to doubt whether it's worth it. My Chem are no longer my favourite band so I don't feel the OMG, I HAVE TO SEE THEM urge I once had. Besides, it's not like I've never seen them before. I've got a few months to think about it, I guess. Oh, and, as much as we'd all love to see them play Bullets, they've said themseleves that they no longer play songs from that record. |
| the original JULES Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 19598 | domeofstars: 1. They're not going to play Bullets, even if fans boycotted the gig. 2. It's about the fact that Australian fans seem to miss out. And to be quite honest, it gets rather tiring. Why should the rest of the world see their Black Parade set, and we don't? 3. And there are fans like Samara, where it's more than just buying a ticket. It's working an entire schedule around it. And for what? My Chemical Romance can come to Australia almost anytime and play a generic show. They can't come to play with their Revenge set or Black Parade set anytime. |
| asha shake. Devil's Got Your Number Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 36414 | Wowww, 7 hours Samara? That sucks =[ |
| omg stfu Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 19648 | Thanks Asha and Jules. <3(: And yeah, it does suck real bad, cause it's not like I can just get a ride down the road to the show and get picked up in a few hours. My whole family has to like take a road trip and spend lots of money, lmao. And blah, I hope I didn't come across too rude to domeofstars in my post before, but yeah, going to the show isn't just going to the show, it's a major deal. And my mum is pregnant, which means she can't get too stressed and she worries so much about the travelling. But yeah, back to the point, I think it is hugely dissapointing that we aren't getting to see what the rest of the world gets to see. It's hardly our fault our countries are half way around the world. >.< |
| CAcT '-.-' tux Salute You in Your Grave Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | woah 7 hours, that's like a pilgrimmage! you have full reason for reconsidering. maybe it costs too much to ship the pyros allll the way down under where we are so isolated from the rest of the world...& where there are still kangaroos hopping on the roads. |
| domeofstars Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 493 | nancy boy.: Oh no, you weren't rude at all, I understand much better now where you're coming from All I guess I want to say is that we should try not to lose complete faith in them yet. We should know more in the coming weeks once they play the European dates. |
| hip like badass Motor Baby Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 919 | I've been having recurring nightmares about this. Ok, nightmares is a little overdramatic but when I wake up I don't feel pleasant. I really hope all this isn't the case. They can't fob us all off just becauase we aren't Europe. |
| Kimberley. Really Not Okay Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 612 | nancy boy.: i can totally relate. i live 6 hours away from Sydney, and i had to give up my last shred of dignity and beg my boss to give me time off work so i can go. but there's no doubt in my mind that it will be worth it. even though i'll be disappointed if we don't get the full production, it's the music i'm going for, not the fireworks and costumes. |
