The emo rockers see off stiff opposition
My Chemical Romance have bagged the Shockwaves NME Award for Best International Band at tonight's (March 1) ceremony.
The band's name was announced at London's Hammersmith Palais by 'T4' host Steve Jones and Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer.
The band, who are on tour at the moment, then appeared by video link. "We want to thank you guys so much. We apologise for not being there tonight, but we'll see you on some of the shows this year. So thanks a lot."
