| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | I do appreciate you taking the time to steer me in the right direction -- I will keep an eye on meself to keep from offending anyone else. To be fair, however, my knowledge of England/Ireland/Scotland and comes mostly from Braveheart, Trainspotting, Tristan & Isolde, various indie films from the area, and being a fan of Gerard Butler and Ewan MacGregor. And then there's the fact that, when I go to Epcot, and go to the UK pavilion, there's usually more than a couple Irish people working with the Brits and the Scots. At any rate, I do hope you post a photo of the tattoo when you get it done! |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | Never trust films about Ireland. Even the Irish-made ones paint us all as a group of gloomy alcoholics. No worries. I accept your excuse but hope I don't offend anyone!Hehe, of course there are Irish people there, we built the UK. And a lot of America, actually. Life was that crap at home that we all headed for purer shores. I will deffo get a pic of my tattoo. I'm so excited about it now! xxx |
| gazelles. Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 566 | Thank you, My Chemical Romance, for making such amazing music. It has brightened my shitty day 3x. <3 In other news, I don't know the exact date of my MCR anniversary. The first song of their's that I heard and fell in love with was WTTBP, and it would have been sometime around the end of September '06. I wish I knew the exact date, though. And for sure, PIxie, be sure to post a picture of the tattoo! I love seeing other people's tattoos, espicially when they're really important to the person. Personally, I'd love to get a tattoo someday, but I don't know what to get one of just yet. I've yet to find anything meaningful enough to me to get inked on my body forever. |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | The tattoo will be All we are is bullets around my wrist. I wanted something devoted to MCR, cos they mean the absolute world to me. I want to look at my tattoo when I'm old and grey and remember how much passion, energy, and joy they brought me. I'm getting emotional now. But I also wanted something that only MCR fans would recognise, so I thought this phrase was perfect. It's always struck me and it's one of my favourite MCR songs ever. <3 |
| Green Faerie Salute You in Your Grave Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 2903 | Pixie-Gates: That is my favourite song, I adore it. I love the pause in the middle and the way it is calm and loud at different parts. usually long songs feel dull, but this one should never end. I am going to celebrate my MCR anniversary, particularly since it took me so long to pin point the date. I found them because a show of theirs was on the TV playing in a loop, I watched the same seven songs for 3 1/2 hours and then fell asleep in front of the the TV listening to them, immediate addiction. I broke up with my unhealthy BF exactly a week later, and bought their album a week after that. I love that I can timeline this stuff. xxx |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | I can timeline my whole life from the time I started listening to MCR. ![]() I have my CDs arranged "autobiographically" and there's only two before Revenge. ![]() |
| Apathy Rocks! Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 81 | Daaaay-uhmn. Glad that someone's finally SAID something...we were all thinking it. (Some of my "friends" are teenie boppers that don't get MCR but claim to love them...I get so effing sick of it. Thanks so much for posting this!) |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | ^ I don't quite get your post...but hi! ![]() |
| Apathy Rocks! Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 81 | Hello! Oh well. It made sense in my head. |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | That's OK. Use this thread to post all your positive thoughts on the band! And any other random stuff you like, as you can see, we're all buds and like hearing about each other's lives. Welcome to the positive thread. You can call me Grace. xxx |
| writerGrrl Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 2286 | EWWWW! *is scarred for life* I went onto buzznet onto a thread for bad MCR pictures (don't ask why) and there was this one of Gerard on a toilet... ![]() Who would do that to someone seriously???? I remember back in August someone (I think it was Lycia) said something like "with the way things are heading, people will soon be putting pictures of the guys taking a dump." Well...that happened. |
| writerGrrl Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 2286 | Pixie-Gates: I love that line. Some of the best MCR lyrics are on that song. ![]() |
| Person0001 Always Born a Crime Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 5099 | writerGrrl:I wanted to comment back with a "Please tell me you're kidding," but I know that you're not. Did the picture look...candid? For future reference, just go ahead and file buzznet under "Satan's armpit." |
| little monster. Full of Ephedrine Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 40962 | I love the idea for the Demolition Lovers tattoo. I myself am now officially old enough to get a tattoo. But I'm not sure what I would want. |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | writerGrrl: See, there are just a few things in this world that need to be sacred. I don't need to see Gerard, or anyone else for that matter, doing their daily business. That crosses the line. Kinda like his prom pictures that are *still* being posted. I realize that they chose to show us some baby pictures, and that's fine. But to dredge up more than they were willing to share -- not cool. I think we should have Team: Let Gerard Shit In Peace. |
| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | Prom pictures of Gerard? I haven't seen those. Is it wrong to want to see see them? ![]() |
| x..touching_hands..x Really Not Okay Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 730 | Hey guys! I have been not here for ages cause I have fractured my first metacarpal (between my thumb and wrist) and now I have a cast on my right hand. Gah! I can't do anything. ANYTHING!! //end rant// Ergo Proxy is one of my favourite anime of all time Nobody, but nobody wants pictures of themselves shitting on the net. I am filled with a compulsive urge to find whoever posted the picture and post a pic of them in an uncompromising position. What's wrong with you people!!!! You want the world to see your toilet bits? Well, do you?!! <-- okay, I'm overreacting a little here, but you get the point; respect their privacy....please? As to the discussion about tattoos, I love mine, I smile whenever I look at it. But it took me a good long time to work out exactly what i wanted, and I'm glad I did. I would hate to get one, then realise I'd prefer something else. So I think it's important to be really, really sure |
| Firefly. Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 4264 | Wooo I'm new to the thread! Um... Positive thoughts, okay... My Chem helped me learn to stand up for myself and not give a flying fuck what anybody thinks about me. ((that's good for starters, xD)) BTW, pictures of him in the bathroom!? Jesus, is nothing sacred anymore?? |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | Loz! Glad you're back! Girl, between your computer issues and your wrist, it's not been a great time for you lately. <<big hugs>> Ergo Proxy -- I'm not sure if we've gotten to the "trippy" part yet, we just got Vol. 4 from Netflix and will be watching it tomorrow. We just got through the long-ass philosophical episode, and the one where they used "raison d'etre" about a million times. Daedelus is one of my favorite characters so far, although I'm wavering on doing a little cosplay as Re-L (or Re-al, depending on which ep you're watching, they spell it differently in the credits now and again) for MegaCon. It'll depend on my schedule and how many hours I put in at the HI booth, as well as who's appearing at our booth. It's hard to work a booth in costume, and I wouldn't want to detract from the talent. Grace: I wasn't offended at all, and I'd like to think everyone here is open enough to get my "stupid American" joke. ILY no matter what, you know that. *kisses!* As for the photos: someone posted Gerard's prom photos a while ago and they've been reposted several times since. I'm sure they're relatively easy to find, but I felt weird looking at them. They're just so ... personal. I think back to my prom and I wouldn't want the world to see those pictures. I have no idea who the girl is in the photo, but I'm sure she's not overly happy having those all over the internet. I went with my friend's boyfriend (long, crazy story) and I wouldn't want everyone seeing those, and I don't think he would be happy about it either. Yet another reason I'm glad I'm not famous. I rather enjoy not having to look for cameras before I poop, thanks. |
| The Original Bob. Demolition Lover Age: 26 Gender: Female Posts: 16672 | Finally i'm back... my damn modem broke so i couldn;t go on. Other news... well there isn't much.
