| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | Hiya guys! Update on the icky -- they want to do a survey at my work. So I said, bring it on. I have all faith that it will return amazing results. I even have said to a few of the families that we'll be having a survey in the next few days, and they all have said they are looking forward to taking it so that my directors know what a good job I'm doing. So bad into good, and screw the old biddy anyway. But thank you guys so much for being so supportive and wonderful. You guys are the best and I love you all so much. You know, we should get a chain going. Just this wacky, random idea I have. Start a book and write about what this thread, and the friendships we have made, mean to us. Print out the most meaningful messages and slap them in, with our notes next to them. Ship it person to person and add to it as needed. Then the next one of us to see the band try to give it to them. We know by now that they get and read the books they are given -- let them see what an amazing dynamic they have here and what amazing friendships they have created among us. I think they would enjoy seeing how they have brought a group of people together and see what we've made. I don't know, just this random ass idea I came up with. Anybody in? I have some ideas to start, I'd be willing to pony up the initial cash for the book and supplies. So I held my nose and ventured into the rumors thread for the first time in months. Phew! What a mess. I think I'll go back to not bothering to read it. Debs reposts any of the good, truthful rumors in here anyway. For the good of the cause: Thank you, my beautiful boys, for giving me your music to be there for me as I got back on track and got my mind straightened out, and for being the reason for this thread and my friends here. And thank you to all of my friends for caring, for supporting, and for just being the coolest group of people I know. I am proud to say I post here with each and every one of you. *kisses* |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | And I agree with Grace above. Please, in this thread, be kind to Lyn-Z, and anyone associated with the band. There are people here who have met her and will defend her to the end. This thread is held to a very high standard by the regulars because we care about the boys and how they would feel if they were to stumble in here. If you have something nasty to say, take it to Buzznet. Thank you. |

Naturally, I'm a poor student and thus my finances are not exactly best suited to it, but I can try. ![]() And I'm glad things at your work have cooled down! That was a horrifically unpleasant scenario, and I hope the old bat stays out of your hair from now on. ![]() xxx |

| Pixie-Gates Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 13231 | Woot for all the US fans! You're ridiculously underappreciated considering the boys are actually from there. Have the time of your lives! ![]() |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | Aw, man, no dates in FL? I mean, I know they hate the sun and all but we've got great small venues! We've got a Hard Rock and a HOB right here in Orlando! (and Orli was skipped over the last tour due to *only* having smaller venues. So...um...pretty please?) |
| Person0001 Always Born a Crime Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 5099 | Pixie-Gates:And me!!!!!!! Tab I know you wrote me a more detailed explanation of what was going on at work, and that it's been more or less resolved for now, and that I owe you a read. Please forgive me my slowness - I had a bit of a hellish day myself yesterday, in part due to having to deal with my pricks of EX-bosses. I promise I'll do that today with you. Tara, I'm glad that the boys are getting better; how scary, huh??!! When Damie was 5, he got scarlet fever. The pediatrician didn't prescribe the correct antibiotic for him and it turned into walking pneumonia. He was extremely sick for weeks and it was one of the scariest parenting moments I have ever had. He didn't get better, either, until I took him to (of all things) a homeopath (i.e. an herbal doctor.) So I feel you, Sweetheart. I am sending over some good motherly thoughts to help you out! Jess: I'll drop you a line in a few; Cat has some personal stuff to tell me. |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | Hey, no worries, Deb. Just being able to vent it all out made a ton of difference. Thanks for posting the happy news for us today! You rock! Tara's kiddos are sick? Bleh. There's something going around. A lot of my kids have been out sick the last two weeks, and I'm fighting a cold. A lot of it could be handled by the parents actually taking a day or two off of work to allow their kids to stay home and rest and recuperate. But they send them back off to school the next day, vomiting, fevers, coughing, the works, because they're so work-oriented instead of child-oriented. I should purchase stock in Airborne, I use so much of it. But so far I've only gotten a little congestion (I think maybe allergies) rather than being out and out sick. Hmm. Well, I see the boys are hitting Chicago. I could make a trip out of that, maybe tell hubs I'm visiting my grandmother and, oh my goodness, did you know MCR's playing? Gee, can't miss *that* while I'm in town..... Once the MegaCon insanity (and I do mean insanity! We're doing more here than we did at San Diego!) is over, I'm hitting Wizard World Chicago and Heroes Con in Charlotte, with family visits in the middle. But if I have to go to Chicago in April, I can cut that part of the family short and spend more time with my godbabies in NC during the WW/HC trip. See? It's all going to work out. |
| Green Faerie Salute You in Your Grave Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 2903 | I am so jealous, as in I do believe i'm actually turning green. Hehe. Oh *sulk* I am very happy for you fans who will get to see them again... But I want to soo bad. But since I KNEW they weren't going to play the UK again, i'm just being silly. Ah well, i've got patience, i'm in this for the long haul... so I can wait until they come to my shores again. And I will not be seated in the stands miles away again, no matter what the friend i'm with says. I had another dream about MCR last night, that makes it the third in 4 days! *headdesk* my subconcious is verging on insane, i'm pretty sure. All the dreams are pretty much the same, i'm stood at the front of a very uncrowded concert, getting the best view of my life. Sometimes I worry about myself. Happy Valentines Day to all the lovely ladies in this thread! ![]() |
| Stewie G. Griffin Motor Baby Age: 38 Gender: Female Posts: 865 | I'm just stopping by to say I'm jealous that you get to see MCR again, but also happy that you get to see them... if that makes any sense. Tab, I'm so down with that book idea...I've so much to say about my besties here! And I like for the guys to see what kinds of fans they have and what good things we are capable of. So far, I've started college. It's going good; not as bad as I thought it would be. I kind of likened it to going back to high school (not a good time for me). But it's not. I'm a class of mature students , with varying backgrounds, jobs and life experience and I think it's going to be good for me, whatever the outcome. Also, the temp job Im doing has offered me the position permanently, which is good. But they want to reduce the working week from 5 days to 3 and the salary from 18k (which I would make annually if I wasn't a temp) to 9,6k per year, which is bad. With a mortgage and other bills going out, £9,600 a year just doesnt seem like what I should be earning at this stage of the game. It's all too confusing right now. I'm trying to figure out my ingoings and outgoings, so that if I take this job, i dont leave myself short. The cool thing is though, is that my 'boss' said just take it till college ends then leave if you want. Meaning, Im earning, have time to study, have a bit of freedom aside from the weekends and continue on my quest to change my vocation completely, as I had originally planned. So I dont know what to do. Take the job or not take the job? What MCR song could help me make a decision? LOL. |
| gazelles. Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 566 | AHHH, saw the new tour dates when I was Computer Science class and I had to work very hard to not get up and start dancing. Even though they haven't announced any dates I can go to (yet!), I'm sure they will soon. I mean, there's no way they're not going to come to NY, and I'm allowed to go to an NY date providing it's relatively close (within a couple hours or so, I bet). And Billy Talent is from Canada, so ya never know. And small venues, HELL YEAH! I love you boys, thank you so much for making my day (and life) about one hundered thousand million billion trillion infinity plus one times betters! ![]() I feel for all of you in the UK / anywhere that's not the US; I'd be jealous if I were you too. Thank you for not freaking about how it's not fair, though! There are some people who'd probably have a royal spaz and claim that MCR wasn't being fair to them because they're not coming back to the UK / wherever before the tour ends. *rolls eyes* |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | I'll see what I can do to get the book started. I like the idea, even if it's just back and forth between us. Nat, sorry to hear you're in such a rough place. The job sounds good but the pay not so much. Any chance you could bargain? Or keep the job and remain temping, so you could keep the better pay? My hubs got his job now when his temp contract ran out, they wanted him to stay but for less, he said no and they ended up paying him more than he asked to stay, now 5 years later he's the supervisor of the department. So it can happen. Ask around. Put on your cute face. Tour dates have already been fudged with. There were shows in Louisiana that aren't there anymore. They really are going to make me go all the flippin' way to Chicago, aren't they? Sigh. Boys, please add some Florida dates. I swear to bring cookies and comics. |
| tabitha Bleeding on the Floor Age: 43 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | Okay, so I have to tell you guys YET AGAIN what a dork I am. So I got home last night, came in, put on my pjs, scanned the site, eventually got out to the kitchen, and hubs actually got me flowers. So I'm standing there, looking at the flowers, and I said, "Um? Why'd you buy me flowers? I don't remember you pissing me off lately." Dead silence. In 8 years of marriage and over 12 years together, I've gotten flowers exactly twice (well, 3 times if you include yesterday). Once was the year we couldn't afford a Christmas tree, so he got roses with pine boughs. Then last year he pissed me off big time (like, grounds for divorce pissed) so he went out and got flowers. So I was all confused. He got a little sad and just said he thought it would cheer me up on Valentine's Day since I had such a yucky week. So then I felt weird since I'm not used to getting flowers, and felt bad because he was trying to cheer me up and in all my dorkitude I turned it into something it wasn't supposed to be. He understood, but it was still kinda awkward. I mean, the Serenity lunchbox was supposed to be my Valentine's Day present. You know, whenever it gets here. I am such the anti-girl. I don't like flowers or jewelry. Buy me a DVD or an iTunes giftcard, take me out to the movies, take me to play skeeball, get me pretzels and cheese at the pretzel stand, or buy me a lunchbox for my lunchbox collection. Flowers wilt and die, but old skool metal lunchboxes are forever. Oh well. At least he remembered Valentine's Day, so I gotta give him credit for that. |
| Person0001 Always Born a Crime Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 5099 | Awwwwwww I'm sorry Karlie and Nat <<<<<<Hugs>>>>> But hey you know they may very well kick off the next one by you, and since they're recording this year, it'll be sooner than you think, so hang in there, Honeys ![]() Nat, I think you should keep the job as temp, and Tab, that was a cute story. |
| dippyhwatx Killjoy Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 27 | i hate lynzed tho. even her NAME is pretentious. Her bands lyrics are vulgar and she looks like boy george. Lols but im happy if gee iz ;]. |
| Person0001 Always Born a Crime Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 5099 | CoverMeInGasoline: Look, and I mean this in the nicest way possible: PLEASE don't post things like that in THIS thread. This is a positive thread only, and we all find it a nice refuge from the constant negativity that seems to swirl around Gerard in particular these days. I would prefer you didn't post statements like that anywhere, especially on INO, but rather limit them to your own personal chats, however, I can't really stop you. I am going to ask you to please consider how Gerard would feel if he read your statement, though, because this thread is titled the way that it is for a reason: there is always that risk that someone in the band will wind up seeing something you post. You should always ask yourself the same question before posting that you would ask before speaking: "Do I really want to say this? Is this reflecting me accurately? Am I potentially hurting someone by making this statement?" Also, please remember that Lin, too, is a person, and she's a very nice person, and she has feelings as well. All I'm saying is that if you love Gerard, you should also respect what (and whom) he loves enough not to totally trash them where he could potentially see. And this lady in particular does not deserve the abuse - she's wonderful to his fans. By the way, her name is Lindsey. She spells it Lyn-Z for the stage only, and she has nothing to do with MSI's lyrics. |
| little monster. Full of Ephedrine Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 40962 | I heard Lyn-Z is a really sweet person in real life. and I must be vulgar then, since I enjoy MSI. anyway, moving on, pics of my tattoo are in my profile! |
| x..touching_hands..x Really Not Okay Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 730 | CoverMeInGasoline: Hi, I know someone has mentioned this above, so I'll be brief, cause I don't want to be mean. The people in this thread love My Chemical Romance. Simple. And therefore we respect their decisions, and don't pass judgement on them. We believe in never saying something to hurt the people you love and admire and we stand by that. If you want to come and hang with us, do so by all means. But we will not tolerate 'slagging off' or any hurtful behaviour. This is our place for thanking the pillars of strength and beauty that make up MCR, and coming together over how they have helped us. Please respect our wishes to respect the boys wishes, and leave the poor lass alone! They both must have a hard enough time as it is! |
