Our brains are capable of so much more knowledge and understanding. Animals don't have that. Animals are smart(some), but their brains are not able to do things that ours are. They cant feel as many deep emotions as us either. Do you really think a deer has ever been dumped at a prom? Or gotten an abortion? Or aced a science final? No. People are more important then animals are. We were designed that way. Period.

Such as unconditional love.
Do you really think a human has ever unconditionally loved all others? No.
I'm glad you've got your priorities in order.
But you should stop presenting your opinions as if they are facts.
I don't care how you think they emote, that STILL does not give us the right to say "you're worthy of living and you aren't... you're worthy of being shot, and you're worthy of being peacefully euthanized."

It's time you stop denying that.
I find it so amusing how you can honestly say that an animal is as important as a human being. It also sickens me in a way.
Don't you talk to me about presenting opinions as facts, because that it all that you have been doing the entire thread.
Life isn't fair for animals. Why? Because they are animals. We beat them in the food chain, that's just the way it is. There is enough overpopulation in the world with people, what about when that happens with animals? A lot of people and animals share food sources, and if the overpopulating animals eat up all of the food, where does that leave us? The world cant afford deer and bunnies pumping out babies by the billions. Its going to happen hunting or not, but hunting is another way of controlling it. It may not be nice, it may not be fair.
If I had to choose between a deer, and a person, I would choose the person. Unless they were like a serial killer or something. You are also denying the fact that a person is more then an animal. That's the way nature was made. We were made to be dominant. If we weren't, then they would be the ones typing on INO right now, not us. |

But I guess it's okay to be done as long as it is done in the most humaine way possible people should have the right to do it and if you are actually gonna eat the meat.
But if you just waste it, that's another story.
I love animals and I hate the though of them being killed, but

Hunting to control the population of animals is only one type of hunting, and I agree that to an extent it needs to be done.
But the hunting that I, as well as a lot of other people are against, is hunting for sport. That is, hunting animals that don't need to be hunted, but are hunted anyway purely and simply because they can be hunted. That's not right. Why do you think there are so many endangered species on the planet? Because we, supposedly "intelligent", humans think it's okay to hunt animals that aren't over populating. |

~conservation= contol of the species to protect the surrounding wildlife
~trophy= mainly for sport, no real objective other than just putting something on your wall that you can tell the grandkids stories about...
~poaching= i think that everyone knows what that is...
~trapping= (see definition of poaching)
personally, the only one that i ever agree with is conservation. it's the one that i do... all of the other forms of hunting are just wrong and should be stopped... i can't speak for other hunters out there... but usually, conservation hunting is the only one that puts most parts of the animal to good use... i know that poaching tries to use as many parts of the animal as possible, but that usually doens't get accomplished... |

I know a lot of people with trophy heads in their house and they SCARE me. Im just so uncomfortable looking at them and knowing they died so they could hang off a wall. Other animals kill for sport, but they don't display their dead prey like that. I won't get on someone's case for it, but I don't like seeing it either. |

Ugh. I hate fish. Even alive they sicken me unless they are on a plate xD
But back on topic. I would never hunt, but if someone goes out and shoots a couple deer or rabbits I wouldnt try and stop them. |

i must admit... when i first started hunting... i did too... but i don't buy meat from the grocery store if i can help it... for the most part i hunt and gather that for myself... it's still hard to watch something die... it's just a part of life, but the fact of the matter is that i would rather know exactly where my food comes from than leave that to chance... |
