DeadInTheWater Fabulous Killjoy Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 128 | i think to get peace all the countrys that are gettiong involved need to back off a bit and instead of charging in with armies and that, they need to offer the country guidance, help them establish a stable government ect. tbh charging in with srmies is making everything worse. Peace is possible, it just will take time and co-operation from all sides. I cant really say the violence has affected me that much, its just sometimes you see things on the news that are slightly disturbing and upsetting. |
Mr.Armstrong Awake and Unafraid Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 12135 | well half my family lives in the middle east and the conditions are very bad. but if the countries try to comprimise the conditions will get better right now afgahnistan are attacking innocent people in pakistan which is causing a while mess over there. but hopefully things will get better |
Harlequinn Salute You in Your Grave Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 2704 | gosh i really wish there was peace there, wat is going on is so horrible idk how we can make peace quickly tho, i mean its kinda hard to fight terrorists there who want to blow themselves up anyway. it's going to take A LOT of time and effort and a leader who can find a way to do it without all the extra violence if i didn't let it i don't think the violence would really effect me that much, i mean i dont really know anyone whos gone overseas. i'm sure if this keeps going on tho more and more ppl with be effected who don't live in the middle east |
Mr.Armstrong Awake and Unafraid Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 12135 | ^ yeah see the thing i hate the most is how the terrorist living in the middle east are saying there relgious and what not but truthfully there not in there relgion is states one cannot kill the other in the same religion just to gain there way of life a reason why terrorist are attack over there is because they are hardcore "muslims" (they say they are but there not) so they want everyone to be just as intense as them |

CyanidexDeath Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 365 | Every body's heard it and every body's seen it in the newspaper, T.V. ,Radio and Internet. How Can we get peace in the middle east? To achive peace America takes the troops out of the middle east. The people in the middle are bombing but having the troops there that create violence((tourcher, unesscary bombing)) it just creates the huge thing of violence. If we are just there to support them in their quest for peace, i think that they would be able to have peace. Is Peace even possible? Peace is possible, just put down the guns How has the violence affected you? I have friends whos family members were killed in Iraq because of a military shoot down that occured. In a more postive way ((not that war is postive)) I've learned how to stand up for what i belive in. I now got to protest and am creating a peace group to help the peace. |
Thug Life. Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 1315 | Cyanide Hell....: You really single out American presence in the middle east as the number one reason for problems down there The middle east has been in turmoil for years with the isreali - Palestinian conflict starting around the late fourties. The bombing inst just cos of the American presence you gotta remember Iraq just had a massive change to its society's going from a dictator ship to a fully functioning democracy, and alot of the people there believed in Suddam and its just retaliation for his fall from power and his later death which in hindsight is probably a plus for them. peace is possible but these are just hiccups on the road i suppose we just have to give it time, it takes time. |
sweet disposition. Banned Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 48272 | I can't see peace ever happening for those in the Middle East. The countries aren't rich enough to restore themselves, and the richer countries, regardless of what they say, aren't helping. Suicide bombers and terrorist attacks will continue whether the troops stay there or not. |
Mr.Armstrong Awake and Unafraid Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 12135 | Let The Flames Begin:actually most of the countries are rich many of them are 3rd world countries but there power is slowly being stolen away like the person before me said. If america had a less effect on middle eastern countries then maybe just in a little way may the middle east get better, but this will surely take much time. as you can tell the war in iraq is still continuing when it clearly should stop |
blow Bleeding on the Floor Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 1137 | Thuglife.: So true, I'm not sure of my facts, but from what I've heard Palestine doesn't think Isreal should even exist, while America has always backed Isreal. Also recently in the news about this: the US gave six countries in the middle east, including Isreal and Saudi Arabia, 20 billion dollars for smart bombs. I guess in hopes that they'll be able to pressure Iraq and other countries for us. Of course lets no forget Pakistan. Terrorist now have a fine oppurtunity. And Musharaaf isn't helping, yet the US still 'supports' him Iraq's democracy is fully functioning?! *leshock* |
DIE! DIE! DIE! Bleeding on the Floor Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1067 | It's sort of wrong for us to do this, I mean, the fact that we jumped into trying to "fix" the middle east is part of the reason is sucks as bad as it does. The Middle East was a strong power player hundreds of years ago, and it could be again. It seems like it just keeps on getting fingered like a cheep, unwilling whore though. But whatever. Of course our government wouldn't leave them alone. I think the middle east needs to either destroy itself or pick itself up, and I hold no interest in having any other country be a part of that. |
blow Bleeding on the Floor Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 1137 | I love your analogy. And you're right, of course we wouldn't be over there if it weren't for the oil. There's other factors to of course. The Islam extremists would hate us even if we wheren't messing around over there. Simply because we (and the rest of the world) won't conform to their religion. Mostly they just hate us though because of our capitalist society. They think George W. is the devil (I'm inclined to agree) and that all Americans are going to hell. We can't do anything about that though. There's always gunna be crazies in the world. |
Thug Life. Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 1315 | Eponine: Well its always been like that but thats only because jewish American sympathies have always existed since post world war two and America being a country with a strong jewish populous and influence is obviously gonna back isreal. Well right now the conflict hotpot for this decade is the middle east, America needs friends there i suppose smart bombs are just a gesture to ensure that they are allies doesn't necessarily mean they're going to use them. and yes democracy has functiond when society has elected its own representatives and leaders ... unless im horribly wrong and you have a completely different definition of democracy. |
blow Bleeding on the Floor Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 1137 | Well people are still getting blown up... |
Thug Life. Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 1315 | that they are but its completely wrong of us to blame the us for the whole thing ? |
sweet disposition. Banned Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 48272 | Billie Joe Armstrong: Most Middle Eastern countires are very poor... Am I reading it wrong? |
love on her arms. Bleeding on the Floor Age: 29 Gender: Male Posts: 1662 | I dont think amercian presence has a big impact, it has a impact but not as much as the media portrays. I thing the whole Israel / Palestine conflict is all because of religion. In my words religion was the beginning of the world and it will be it's end. |
stac-renee Killjoy Age: 52 Gender: Female Posts: 35 | PEACE IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THESE PEOPLE, THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER FOR CENTURIES, I SAY PULL OUR TROOPS OUT, QUIT SINKING OUR MONEY INTO THE WAR AND LET 'EM GO AT IT |
Cherokee Banned Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 2300 | I live there, and yeah tell me about it! it's truely horrible, Arabs Agreed not to agree at all. It'a affecting everyone including those countried not related to any war at all. |
