I feel like this thread has gone through this before.
All of this "the band is tooootally breaking up" rubbish.
What makes you all think that just because one of the members has a personal life, the band stands no chance?
I mean, there are countless bands in the world whose members are married with children.
Sure, Pete is financially secure with all of his side projects, but I honestly think they'd all fall to pieces without Fall Out Boy.
Let's be serious, without FOB, no one would give a shit about Clandestine (as an example) in the first place.

Also, can we please stop making all these assumptions about how this is totally breaking Patrick's heart or some nonsense like that.
As if Patrick Stump's life revolves around Pete's romantic relationships.

& as for lyrics, maybe now Pete can stop whining about ex-girlfriends from 5+ years ago
& start writing grown up songs.
[/rant]

As for Chrissy's question about the money from the photos,
I'll venture to say it's going straight to Joe Simpson's bank account. haha.

that's the thing that pissed me off
okay they got married cause she's pregnatn, whateverz
her father sells the pictures of his daughter's wedding for sheer profit?
it's the most disgusting, foul, repulsive, irresponsible thing I can imagine about this whole thing

i think the whole breaking up issue might have to do infact with pete's lyrics and his relationships, that there is worry that they might completely change. That is partially the apppeal to some people. There is alot of angst in fob lyrics and if you're happily married with a kid, i would desperatly hope that you'd loose some of the angst.
Fall Out Boy may have saved pete's life, but in a way it did save all of theirs, it'd be a shame to see them go to pieces because it wasn't there.

yes. the lyrics change every album anyways so what's everyone's complaint, honestly?
aren't they always amazing regardless of the situation?
you cannot say that the lyrics in tttyg are the same as fuct or ioh and ioh are the same as fuct.
there's just no comparison to each album, they always change their sound and its always obvious.

this is kind of really pissing me off.
this band is. well, its not the band that's pissing me off, its all of the news and assumptions and just like, ughhh, I can't deal with it anymore, I don't want to hear about my favorite band breaking up and no one having faith that they're going to stay together because one of the band members got fucking married and is having a kid.
he's balanced having all these other side projects while having fall out boy,
he's not going to leave or let the band break up, he knows how devastated we would all be.
whatever.

plus! in his meelikey blog, he says
"in weird ways i am so different- not in any that can be told from a wrinkle or smile line. a little worse for wear. but you have made me a better person and given me the adventure of my life. thank you patrick joe andy - every single fan from hey chris to our newest one.
there is something very insane being cooked up this summer cant speak on it yet. but keep your eyes out."
to me that really doesn't sound negative, or like the band is breaking up.

that is all.

It's not the fact that he married ashlee, its the fact that hes changed because of her. you cant say hes still the same person he was 3-4 years ago, yeah people change but hes changed for the worst. you cant say hes still this respectable amazing man anymore because he isnt, hes a money hungry ignorant asshole whos got caught up in this whole hollywood "scene" and became one of the most downright dumbasses. And we wonder why people say so much shit about fall out boy because look who is the eye of the band, pete wentz is. we focus so much on what this man does wrong instead of focusing on the band and what theyve done right. the media doesnt care about fall out boy they care about Pete Wentz and what him and Ashlee are going to do next. i dont ever see news about just fall out boy anymore its always pete and ashlee. im sick of it. everytime i type in fall out boy on google who shows up ASHLEE, she isnt the band she as nothing to do with the band other than that now ses married to bassist. if this band is going to stick around it better realize that some people need to not be involved because that will just smash the band into a thousand pieces and i really dont want to see that happen. think about how petes life would be without this band? hed be a totally complete wreck!

"we focus so much on what this man does wrong instead of focusing on the band and what theyve done right."
I don't, I don't let the media dictate my life and tell me what to believe and what not to believe about pete, I still whole-heartedly believe in him, and he's still my hero, and nothing's changing about that.
yeaaaaaah he's changed from 3-4 years ago, but who hasn't?
he's gone from being ridiculously angsty to being happy.
we can't condemn him for being happy, its like he's expected to be angry all the time so he'll write amazing lyrics. everything he writes is good so its nothing to worry about.
I still respect him. sure, the band has created a lot of merch items, fan club, etc. stuff for money...how else would he make a living? we don't have to buy everything wentz spits out.
fall out boy isn't in the media because well...no bands are really in the media, and fall out boy really hasn't done anything new lately.
its rare to open up a people magazine and have bands in them, you just see the band members and their lives. thats the media's fault, we don't have to buy into it and let it get to us.

It's not that i dont want to see him happy. It's just i dont want fall out boy to change because hes married and as a kid. i really dont want to listen to songs with lyrics like i love my wife and child, sure theyd still be incrediable but i want lyrics i can relate to like i have for the last 5 years. i love the angsty lyrics hes written over the years thats what made me fall in love with this band and dedicate my whole life to them. i dont want to see all the angst go away just because hes "happy" now. i dont know im going to keep my faith in this band for as long as i can because no matter how hard i try to let them go i know i cant because the give me something to look forward to, they actuallygive me somewhat of a life. As pathetic as that sounds, fall out boy is the center of attention in my life. i would have gone insane if i didnt have this band to distract me from the bad things that go on around me. i have nothing but love and apperciation for this band and what they gave to me and now i think its my turn to to do the same right back and hav full faith in this band and keep them alive in my heart.

my comment about the lyrics changing was trying to explain the differences between tttyg and ioh
some people will always have tttyg as their favourtie cd because of they lyrics that scream "fuck you"

the lost, emotionally unstable pete wentz is alo tmore relatable than the married pete wentz
why?
... how many of us are married?

Well, maybe happily married Pete Wentz can teach all the angsty kids in the world
How to be a bit more stable & emotionally healthy.
As popular as it is in the world of songs & lyrics, feeling like shit all the time is not ok.

I would love to hear FOB's lyrics become a bit more grown up.
& hey, with more mature song content, wouldn't we have less & less 12 year olds to deal with?
(No offense, 12 year olds on this board. You know what I'm talking about.)

Back to FOB, but not back to FOB marriages, babies, etc.

think of all the stuff they paintballed/set on fire/ damaged in the first one
i thinkthe second one would probably be a lot worse, possibly more international
and i can easily see that they would get in loads of trouble
i think they have enough law suits on their hands right now

it's not even ashlee i'm really disliking at the moment, it's her freak of a dad. he wanted to make that show [well, allegedly anyways] about Pete and Ashlee...cause well golly gee, look how well it worked out for Jess and Nick let's do it again and exploit my other daughter well ding-dang!
ugh i just really don't like him...but now i'm just spamming.

and on the topic of andy being the most hardxcore librarian...lol. i'm in a library right now and i must say i'd be here a lot more if andy was librarian XD

Srsly! That doesn't sound negative at all.

I can't stand Ashlee, but I doubt FAWB would end because of her.
At least, I hope it wouldn't.
I wish people would stop jumping to conclusions like, "OMG, THEY'RE DONE. D:"

have you seen release the bats?
all the stuff they did
the vandalizing & general debauchary
if they accidently showed someone's face, that person could get angry
if they did any serious vandalism that there were possibly rewards for, well they're screwed
also, rtb is pretty much like jackass
