I'm the same. I don't do the "I was there from the start, go away now" thing. Especially, cause, realistically, none of us were there from the start. The very start always involves a hand full of people that were lucky enough to witness it, and maybe a couple of that handful lucky enough to realise that early on that what they were witnessing was magic.
I love it when people love my bands. Example, Linkin Park. Been a fan of them since I was a kid. A friend of mine fell in love when they toured here and could not stop raving about them. She apologised to me, scared that I'd get angry for bandwagon-jumping. Quite the contrary - every time she spoke abouit them it make me grin stupidly. I love that.
But when you get the teeny types that, 3 albums later, see a film clip on TV and go "OMG, so hawt, I'm a life-long fan now *tried to out compete every other fan via memorised Wiki facts*" ... it makes my blood boil.
I actually was one of the start with The Used, My friend gave me the demos...only 1000 cds of the demos were made... 
I get happy when I show people bands. Not if they become teenies though  |

Posts: 2281 | May 13th, 2008 at 07:27am My bf asked me what he could do to help (work wise), I told him to take FB away from me. He said he'd try to crash it. Next second my FB dies. I've never seen FB do this before.
Asha: You so do not have a lack of friends. Everyone has a million friends on MySpace. Facebook is a different story. They're real people.
Oh, and Hannah, that's what I mean. Those of us on this side of the globe hear via the CDs. I mean like the people who were at the first gig. Like the start start. |
