LMFAO HANNAH, THAT'S POSSIBLY THE BEST GODDAMN THING CREATED IN THIS UNIVERSE, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA X INFINITY.

Rhiannon and Sez - a few nights ago, the Aussies dominated the Confessions thread and we were saying how awesome it would be if all the Aussies/Kiwis went on an INO road trip!
So we said how we'd pretend we were a band on Warped Tour and get a huge, fancy tour bus, and go to each city and yerrr.
That's basically it. XDD

Okay guize, I know there's quite a few of you who went to the A7X shows in Australia, so please check this out:
My friend Sampy - the one who was pulled up on stage at the Adelaide concert, and got backstage passes - created [Darkness Surrounding].
[DS] is the "totally official unofficial Australian street team" for Avenged Sevenfold, and it's strictly for Aussies and Kiwis.
Sampy puts a hellovalotta time into it, and has since it's beginning, which was a few years ago.
You don't need to be completely dedicated to the band, or anything like that.
If you like A7X, and are interested in the band, please add [DS] to your MySpace.
We want to aim to get 1000 friends by the end of this month, seeing as there was 7,000 people alone at the Brisbane gig.

If you need more convincing, let me know!
I didn't buy into at first, but now I'm totally devoted to [DS], because Sampy really puts an enormous amount of effort into running, and the band themselves know about [DS].
At the Adelaide show, I was one of the crew holding up the [DS] banner, and M. Shadows came up to us and waved and smiled. =D

Please look into it. It's definitely not a waste of time.
And, if you do add it, feel free to leave [DS] a comment and say you heard about it through me. That way, Sampy knows and all is good. =D

Sorry, I added something random onto the end of that link.
It should work now, haha.

Oh, and make sure, after you add it (or even before, I dunno if blogs are set to private), READ THE LATEST BLOG.
My experience was SHIT compared to Sampy!
Honestly. Read it! It's the most exciting thing in the entire world.

That's Jimmy, haha - my favourite A7X member.
Same guy in my MySpace default, lulz.

I nearly cried tears of happiness for her when I read it!
Sampy's a huuuuge fan. She has been, since their very first album.
She has an A7X tattoo on her back, and it's the most awesome thing I've ever seen and it's not even finished yet.
When they came in 2006 she got to hang out backstage with them there too.
So they remembered her and everything, which was seriously cool.

Yeah, Sampy's just fucking awesome. =D

I totally ranted on myspace...

When did everything become about the members of a band?

Sure they create the sounds and beats that make up the music but seriously, lately its been getting to me...the new fans of music. Sure I've only been a real 'fan' of my genre of music since 1997 but lately things just...

"This band saved my life"

That means nothing because the band themselves probably don't know of your existence. You can hear lyrics that can mean something to you but no band can save your life...unless they magically appear and pull you away from a speeding car.

A band member of a band has saved my life, he knows who he is and who I am.
I've noticed more discussions (yes including myself I'm guilty of this) about the members more than the music;

"He dyed his hair BROWN?!"
"I thought the black looked fantastic!"

Everythings all about the members, when the music is what they do. They're not socialites that live off people following what they do. They live off creating amazing music, todays society is so voyeuristic that we have to stalk them.

Who cares if they have a little brother who had a small cameo in a dvd?

If the bands wanted us to find out this shit, they'd post it and tell us.

What they tell us is what we should accept.
If they want to be open and let us all into their lives, they will.

The more personal questions asked in interviews in the media is also irritating me;

"How did your drug use affect everything?"

You would seriously walk up to some random guy you've never met and ask him that shit?

NO!

God, come on.

Ask what you would about the fucking music!
WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT THE FUCKING PERSONS PERSONAL LIFE.

Its not called personal for nothing.
Sometimes I just wanna scream at these retarded interviewers.

"HOW THE FUCK WAS YOUR FIRST TIME? DID YOUR DADDY RAPING YOU AS A CHILD AFFECT YOU NOW?"

Stay off the personal shit.

Also, young kids as young as 11 are starting to develop 'obsessions/crushes' on ...26 year old men! my god.

I can understand a 16 year old or a 17 year old because its LEGAL and its only a 9 OR 10 YEAR GAP WHICH IS PERFECTLY REASONABLE.

Anything from 15 years over is freaking creepy.

even then
15 years is pretty disturbing. 15 year old and a 30 year old...*shudder*

Thats quite nasty.
13 year old and a 28 year old...o____O ew.

16 year old and a 31 year old .___.

Wow when you say 16 with something it doesnt seem as weird for some reason, anyway off topic.

I guess if love happens but...wait till its legal please.

I'm kinda ranting, if you managed to read this all.
*pats on back*

Night.

-claps-

I completely agree.
I'm so sick of all the people you see at gigs going 'omgz the singer is so hawt'.
I just feel like going up to them and asking if they payed $40+ just to see a hot guy, because I mean, they really need to get out more if that's the case.

... although I'll admit, I have said things like 'he really should've kept the dark hair' xD
but in the end, I really couldn't give a fuck, because I only like bands for the music.
Hell, I couldn't even tell you the names of the people in the majority of the bands I listen to!

BUT, I do have to stand up for journalists here lol.
Those type of questions are basically asked because people are interested, and it will sell.
And a lot of the time, especially if the person has gotten over their drug use, they're generally willing to tell their story and how it affected them in a bid to deter other people from going down the same path.
For instance, I doubt if anybody would remember, but last year there was a front page story about Phil Jamieson going to rehab for ice addiction (I'm not defending that journalist though, because that was horrible. He was trying to keep it hidden until after he got out of rehab, but one of the nurses leaked it to the media. Bitch).
Anyway, after things died down, and he got a bit more in control of things, he actually came forward and asked to appear on Enough Rope so that he could get his story out, and he actually said that he would've wanted to get his story out sometime, just not in the way it originally came out (ie- the leak from the rehab centre).
So in that case, the questions asked on Enough Rope weren't really intrusive, because he volunteered to go on there and answer any questions.
I think it's a really fine line though, between being ok and just plain intrusive.

Incidentally, that was pretty much the most heartbreaking interview I ever saw.
