There were many reasons that people were sceptical towards Muslim people. The main one was Xenophobia-or fear of the unknown. The Nine Eleven attacks brought this to their attention immediately after. Many people felt unsafe around strangers and places that seemed extremely busy in fear of another terrorist attack. This was exactly what a terrorist wishes to achieve, fear among a large population of people. This affected a lot of countries other than America as even here in New Zealand there was a boom of people returning to the country feeling as though that overseas is not safe anymore. Of course as the media turned its attention to other things many generally forgot of the fear and ventured out into the world. If you think about this in theory directly after the attacks would have been the safest time to travel as now we are more at risk. There has been a large period of time since the last attacks so wouldn’t that mean that we should expect something soon. For all we know something could be planned for the Olympic Games in Beijing this year. This is what makes terrorism so effective; we don’t know when it is going to come.

harrystyles Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 2440	May 6th, 2008 at 02:38am yup its good erin. but...i would exchange 'really' in the second line to something moreformal. it could use a few more commas, like was a boom of people returning, feeling as though that overseas is not and check your tenses in some places woah my explaining made no sense. the underline parts are where it kinda doesnt make sense/tense is wrong and i put a comma in that sentence. sorry
