If I was your life, then why didn't you treat me better? If you felt so confident I was the rest of your life, then why push me away? Don't act like I'm some kid who went through a phase, because you try being with someone who makes you feel unloved and resented just for being alive every day. You were scared of being hurt, well I was scared of feeling miserable for the rest of my life because no matter how many times you promised, you never made an effort to change.
Pushing someone away like that for weeks and months on end has it's consequences. Just because I wasn't there waiting and willing when you decided we were okay again doesn't mean I didn't love you too. 587840570 times of the same thing was enough. I still love, always will, but you messed with my heart and head so fucking much I just shut my feelings off completely. They're gone. I'm safe. You can't hurt me.
