Im doing my mock exams at the moment - just finished my first full day art which is the best lesson by far in my opinion - bwahahaha staring my next full day on friday 7th december!!!! i have to do 2 sculptures so i will take piccies and upload them when i can!!!!

Actually Sinterklaas is today =D
But I'll explain you everything about it
In Holland they celebrate it the 5th I think and here the 6th.
SInterklaas wears a long white dress and a red cape and is seen with his horse and Zwarte Piet (Black Petes), he's the one who jumps through the children chimney to put the presents. Because the chimneys are dirty,he turned black. That's the legend.
Sinterklaas, translated: Santa Claus
The origin: Sinterklaas was celebrated in East Europe, he was just a saint.
Later the west wanted to celebrate that too. They celebrated it like putting money in the shoes of poor children. Or to other poor people.
Now, children put their shoe with a carrot and a lump of sugar for the horse, a beer for Zwarte Piet and a letter or drawing for Sinterklaas. The next morning they find sweets,chocolate and presents.
In reality it's just the parents who put gifts for them, but they make them believe it's Sinterklaas. Like they do with Santa Claus
Now, the weird thing between SInterklaas and Santa Claus is that they're both the same. It's just with the Dutch people who went to the USA a long time ago that Santa Claus was born there but with Christmas.
We don't celebrate Santa Claus,we celebrate the Kerstman (translated= Christmas Man)

lucky!...........but yeah the only interesting thing i MIGHT be doing is my bf might be comming over but thats a maybe if my mom will bring him home lol but its always a challenge to hang out outside of school cuz he lives about an hour away. but we go to the same school though.
