I guess you could say MCR saved me from myself. Last year in October, all the way through January I was depressed and I was a Self-Injurer. My dad was gone, my mom was being a bitch for no reason and the stress just wouldnt stop building up. I discovered MCR in November when I got the Black Parade cd and I became a pretty big fan (i still am). Now, some people would say now that MCR saved them from killing themselves when they were "staring down a loaded gun," but I believe they saved me from relapsing. I kinda know in the back of my mind that I would have killed myself eventually if I kept cutting and let myself be so depressed. Many times after I quit I had very very strong urges to cut and I found that if I just calm down a bit and listen to MCR then I won't want to anymore. It worked for me. And, now that I look back, I kinda see Gerard in myself because he was suicidal and depressed and he was addicted to soemthing and it was comforting to know that someone else knows what I'm going through. Say what you want but I believe MCR saved me from feeling so alone. They saved me from feeling so hopeless. They saved me from myself.
