About

I imagine that if you met me in real life, and I told you I liked MCR, you'd think I was a teenie, based on my appearance, that is. While I don't think many of the users on here are judgemental like that, I would just like to point out that my dress does not reflect my musical taste whatsoever. I wear pretty girly/preppy clothes, but I pretty much hate everything associated with preps. Throughout my experience with them, I have found that 90% of all preps are stupid, egotistical morons (although I do have one "prep" friend who is quite intelligent and nice, thus the 90%). But anyway, please do not think based on my picture that I am some teenie who is just on this site to proclaim the greatness of Gerard Way.

Moving on from that somewhat random rant, I'll tell you more about me:

I am 17, and I live in Phoenix, AZ. To elaborate more on what was said above, I am not your average MCR fan (in my opinion, anyway). I am a fairly religious person and have a great relationship with my family. My sister is one of my best friends, and I tell my parents practically everything that happens in my life. Without my family, I would be lost. MCR did not save my life; I've always had a stable, um, life. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't like them as much as I do; they're here to save people's lives, and here I am, liking them just for the great message they send and awesome music they play. There's so many teenagers out there who need help whom they haven't touched yet and I feel they should be liking them instead of me.

I like sports a lot, too. I play basketball at my high school and am fairly good at it. I also LOVE my hometown baseball team, the Diamondbacks. I try very hard to never miss a game and keep up-to-date on the stats and stuff. I'm sure by now I've already bored/annoyed you with talk of sports, so I'll move on to something else...

As far as TV goes, I love American Idol! It's just so fun to see what happens (or not, sometimes, when your favorite gets voted off....) and root for your favorite. It's probably my competitive spirit kicking in, or something, but I just love it. Other than American Idol, I don't watch too many shows. Saturday Night Live is pretty funny sometimes, and That 70's Show is hilarious! I also watch Whose Line is it Anyway? reruns on ABC Family often. Other than that, the only thing I watch TV for is movies I like/want to see. Oh, and sports.

Movies. What an interesting subject. Taken from my MySpace, "I generally like comedies and action movies as long as they aren't ridiculous (i.e. tons of blood and guts or primarily one type of humor). Generally speaking I hate romantic comedies and movies that are considered good because they always bore the hell out of me. Also, if I think the story sucks, I probably hate the movie. I don't watch movies to learn or be left thinking, I watch movies to be entertained." Now after reading that, I probably appear immature. Fair enough. I'm only 16, anyway. Some of my favorite movies (series) are (in order): Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean (not the 3rd one. God, did I hate that movie), Spider-Man, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Dodgeball, School of Rock, Zoolander, Hairspray, Narnia, Transformers, Shrek, Mean Girls, Dead Poets' Society, and Stardust.

Gerard Way was the reason I read Catcher in the Rye, but I'm definitly glad I did! Catcher in the Rye is quite possibly the funniest book I've ever read, although I don't think that was on purpose. Holden Caulfield just narrates/speaks in a tone that cracks me up everytime I read the book. I swear, I could read that book once everyday and laugh at it everytime. I don't do much reading otherwise, although I probably should since I'm in advanced English. My friends keep telling me to read Twilight, but I don't know. I tried reading it, but the first fifty pages were so bland I got tired of waiting for all the cool stuff they were talking about to happen. I guess I'm just too impatient. Honestly, the only other books I read religiously are the Harry Potter novels (the sixth one is my fav.)

And now that I've covered just about every topic on MySpace, I think it's safe to say that you've had enough of me. So long and good night. Smile
