I first "met" MCR through the music video for the song "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" on Yahoo Music. I never knew who they were, but that song and the way the music video was caught my attention.
After watching that video so many times and FINALLY looking them up on Yahoo Music, I fell in love with them.
The way the music flowed and the creativity of "Helena" really brought me into the band.
MCR never saved my life. I didn't know who they were, what they were for, anything like that. I never thought a band could save someone's life in the first place.
But I am still a fan. MCR doesn't need to save my life to make me love them. I love them for being who they are, even if other bands may scorn them for being "attention seekers".
MCR left a scar in my heart that will never leave.
