MCR is my life! they mean the world to me. and i will support them through everything and anything!
i am the only one in my family who like MCR and i like it that way. they dont understand their music nor do they care.
to me they are more than "just a band". their morals and views and they way they play and all there songs and the band itself ...its ...they....are just beyond awesome.
i dont have a favourite song or album ..they are all awesome but some of the songs that stick out though would be Vampires on the first album...a total classic, ghost of you from Revenge because it has so much meaning for me and the clip is really moving. and from TBP probably MAMA or famous last words. MAMA because it has the most meaning and is a powerful song and famous last words because i know how hard it was for the band to get that song done... especially Mikey. i still can't believe that he got depression and left the band... i mean god! what he must have been through! im just glad that its all okay that HE is all better now.
Nearly all MCR fans TRUE fans know what Gerard went through and how he overcome his addictions but not many know Mikey's story, and Mikey has always been my favourite MCR band member i have always looked up to him and admired him and it really hurt to hear what happened to him.
so heres his story for anyone who doesn't know it.
During MCR's last tour playing Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, Mikey started feeling depressed often retiring to his bunk after shows. he started having anxiety attacks during shows and would often stay in one place during a set.
using pills and alcohol Mikey slipped further into his depression. but this was only the start it got much worse while making The Black Parade. when the band was shooting in an old haunted mansion Mikey started to spirlled down.
he stayed in the most haunted room in the mansion and would often sleep on the floor in Gerard's room due to nightmares. he would often break down and cry in front of the band. and was thinking of either killing himself or quitting the band. the rest od the band knew that Mikey could not stay with them and live so they removed him from recording and he stayed with the bands lawyer while attending therpy sessions.
Mikey started to get better and started to rejoin the band, taking day trips out to see them and track his parts for the record. he got eye surgery and dyed his hair black to show a new and improved Mikey.
Mikey could have ended it all but he chose to live through the bands message. Mikey is living proof that in all the darkness of depression there is light.
