Posts: 940 | I wouldn't say that the US wasn't well liked; I think it's more the people of the White House aren't well liked. The same with the UK goverment, they aren't well liked either.
Considering that the UK is part of the EU then if we were wasked to go to war by one of the other countries in the EU we probably would.
Other than that I think we all just plod along on our own, and take great delight in bitching about our goverment. |

They're spying on us?
I think that the US is a country very engulfed in it's own nationalism. Many americans are so obseesed with this country being the best and that democracy being the best goverment that we want all countries to be like us, so we have more allies while in fact it creates more foes. Democrasy doesn't work everywhere and quite frankly, i have doubts it will succeed in Iraq. |

Well said. I think the best way to start improving world relations is to start understanding other nations views, especially religious views. In America, our culture and our religion are two separate things, but in other countries their religion IS their culture and we often forget that. We need to educate ourselves about other cultures so we can better understand our neighbors and build up tolerance so we can all happily exist. |
