I've been playing the cello since I was 9 - it's a really cool instrument, but hardly anyone else seems to play it. So, any fellow cellists out there??? |

my dad makes violens cellos and violas
my sister plays violen
and i used to play cello, but since i was left handed is was diffcult for me
and my dad refused to make me a left handed one so i quite the cello and moved onto the piano |

My cellomate moved and I didn't enjoy it enough to keep playing by myself...but if I hadn't quit I would've never started playing guitar so it all works out.... |

We're not snobs....
I think it's more of a jealousy thing because,
everyone does know that Cello is God's insturment. 
It's beautiful and I have a really big intent on finding one and teaching myself
I know alot of the basics to it already so the rest would be just for giggles.
but they cost alot of money, where would you buy a good cheap like starting cello that
doesn't sound bad? |

You could trying renting one. Some music shops in big cities do that, or you could try the music department of your school. I'm having to use a school cello at the moment as my own is in another country (looong story) and it's a perfectly good cello - I've only heard good things from other people who've also rented.
As for buying...you might have to go second hand, but even they won't be that cheap...  the cello is expesive but really worth it. |
