(i searched and couldn't find one of him so yh) Bio
Blending elements of neo-soul, folk, old-time blues and pop,
Justin has the guts of Ray LaMontagne and the soul of Lauryn Hill.
This guitar slinging aficionado has the street smarts of an urban swinger and the heart-bending soul of a gospel preacher,
and is adept at blending a dark, bluesy Americana vibe with warm, acoustic soul where bits of old folk music and flamenco tunes swirl in and out of earshot.
Half Japanese, half American Justin Nozuka was born in New York and grew up in Toronto.
Raised by a single mother, Justin was the sixth of seven children, where all four of his brothers are artists in some form.
As a teen, he spun Motown, folk and hip-hop as he fleshed out his music skills learning guitar with his Mexican friends at boarding school.
He has now establishes he career with his debut album "Holly" , although only released in Europe and Canada
Justin has been touring to promote his album with great success.
"In his debut album "Holly", Justin Nozuka has created eleven impressive pieces of thoughtful acoustic-soul.
Filled with understated melodies, minimal production and an interesting, sometimes dark take on song-craft...4 Stars." -- BBC
"Superior acoustic soul. .4 Stars." -- Q Magazine, UK
"...Nozuka is producing material that is unlike any other singer songwriters - and consequently is beyond genre definition.
Largely, it is one man and his faithful guitar - but with a voice like his, there really is no need for any other instrumentation.
In truth it would only get in the way. 4 Stars." -- Belfast Daily Telegraph
"Nozuka seemed very modest, but there was absolutely no reason. He had every eye on him and it was nearly impossible to look away.
Every song seemed to outdo the one before it, and when he quietly walked off, we were all aching for more." --Chartattack.com
On tour, he and his band have given listeners a taste of what he has recorded on his debut album entitled "Holly". "Holly" is a very soulful, insightful and passionate combination of songs and lyrics co-written or written by Justin. The album has eleven songs to it and includes a hidden track following the final listed song "If I Gave You My Life". Many of Justin's songs deal with mature themes such as the song "Save Him", which draws from a story about an abusive relationship involving two people in the flat next door. The track "Down in a Cold Dirty Well" is about his perspective being stuck in a well, watching his life flash before his eyes. Another deeply impacting track is "Criminal" where Justin tells the story of an intoxicated young man who makes the mistake of shattering a glass bottle on the streets, where children play with bare feet, and suffers from the overwhelming guilt.
Justin's Album "Holly" is named after his mother who helped and supported his chosen career in music. She also funded the album when he decided not to sign with a major record label and become his own individual artist.

I Looooooooooooove his song "After Tonight". I was always a big fan of his brother George Nozuka and heard about Justin because of him. They have a similar voice but Justin's is more soothing. Talent really runs in the family =)
