Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Male Posts: 3489	June 24th, 2007 at 11:23am Ive been playing guitar for two years now, and have decided that it's time for me to learn how to shred well. So, uh, if anyone is on that level, please leave comments with tips and techniques here!! thankyou. if the mods have any strange reason for locking this then fine, but i dont see any reason!

Some of which are speed picking, sweep picking, alternate picking, tapping, and so on and so forth. Shredding is mostly used in heavy metal bands, in which the guitarist can actually play more three chords. Sometimes four.

Here, I have an amazing lesson on sweep picking. It teaches you everything you need to know, and some major and minor shapes to get you started:

vacant3by4- Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 59	October 18th, 2008 at 07:41pm See if you look it up on the internet or have a guitar teacher, you can learn like the basic exercises for hammering on and pulling off, and this is easier if you use a metronome btw, you start practising them slow every day then get faster and faster. Then you can learn things like tapping and sweeps to incorporate. Oh and you might wanna learn your scales so its easy to invent your own stuff. So there's my advice (:

I know that's probablly not true but it made me laugh at the time
