I have done some research on the pros and cons. So far these are all I got, so, feel free to add some into it: Disadvantages: - the cost of construction - earthquakes - pollution - these buildings don't come cheap Advantages: - not all countries are prone to earthquakes - saves on space - eases unemployment Discuss.

Or do you just mean the high-rises typically associated with slums and ghettos? Also, since this might not be a very active topic, you can start us off by giving us your own thoughts and opinions on this debate, perhaps more eloquently so we have something to go on.
