I have one.
I have NO idea what surgery will be like..how to treat it..or what will happen if I don't
Im terrified. My voice is ALL I have.
No one seems to tell me anything. My family and my doctor just seem to be ignoring everything. Advice? Has anyone else had one before? |

You won't be able to talk for 10 days-two weeks
Singing is proably out for a month or so
It's not going to change the sound of your voice drasticlly in the long run
assuming you train it back right and keep it healthy
For the first few months you may notice a little bit of a different tone
But as I said, it won't last.
I know it can't be easy
I think I would cry forever if I had one
My voice is all I have as well

Posts: 775 | October 2nd, 2007 at 07:25am Nodes are pieces of hard tissue--getting them removed doesn't mean they'll go away perminently.
You'll also probably be out of singing for at least 6 months or so.
But if you don't get it removed, more can come back , and your vocal folds can be very damaged. |
