i need a little help.
my bass guitar amp has a space for headphones, but the size is not for regular headphones. it's for those big fat ones.
and i'd like to use headphones to play since no one in my family likes the fact that i am learning bass, and i'd like to play without them knowing.
but i've no idea what they're called. and i've been searching the net for a while and i can't quite figure out what they're called.
can anyone help me out?
thanks.

I play guitar and use amp headphones for the same reason :]. The headphones I have are by Fender; They're called "TS-411 Stereo Headphones." I bought them at Guitar Center. They're not super high quality, but they get the job done. Hope I helped!

You don't need special headphones, but an adaptor.
You put the adaptor in the head phone socket, and plug your head phones in.
We have like 10 lying around XD
You can get them dirt cheap at ectronic stores, or ask your parents if they have any.

Simple and clean is right- you need an adaptor- what size depends on the size of the socket- which should be in the manual which came with your Amp......
I have one, for when i wanna practise at 3 in the morning, and dont want my parents to know XD
[Funny how they always find out somehow...]

i think i'll find an adaptor, that sounds easier and cheaper.
if i can't i'll try and find the headphones.
ahh, they're called stereo headphones. i tried searching amp headphones but i kept getting other things.
thanks again!

I'd assume the size of the headphone jack is 1/4", and most headphones are 1/8", so make sure you look for a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter.
