The group's name is derived from Sleater-Kinney Road, Interstate 5 off ramp #108 in Lacey, Washington, the location of one of their early practice spaces. They formed in and were a vital part of the punk scene in Olympia, Washington, although they later moved to Portland, Oregon. I love Sleater-Kinney. D:

I like a lot of their songs on The Woods, actually, especially 'Entertain' and 'What's Mine Is Yours'. But 'I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone', 'Stay Where You Are' and 'Oh!' are really good from other albums.

I've never heard of this band until I saw this thread, and the name made me think of Sleater-Kinney Road here in Washington, and i was all, "I bet they're from Washiington." and they are. XD And I started listening to them just now. They're really good. : D
