Aww. I know the feeling my parents were against the thought of pets in our household too, but thanks to my so called stubborn habit of mentioning the best gift ideas for me on Christmas and birthdays and not dropping the subject in general (I bet it gave them a pretty good headache ;) ) made them finally give in.
Although I didnt get my way completely because originally I wanted a dog but they made me choose between a goldfish and a rabbit, it was still a 'happy ending' for me. :)
