Posts: 27278 | July 26th, 2008 at 02:08pm The vocals don't even sound like William (seriously) and a song actually pulls me through the "weekday" lyrics. It's extremely, extremely poppy. Absolutely no edge. And I don't know what happened to lyrics with actual meaning - but I'm not feeling them here at all. Ok, it's catchy and poppy - but so are plenty of bands. I think the band is much better than what we're getting with this release.
From the songs I've heard so far, I agree with this.
I'm rlyrlyrly hoping that we'll all love the album, though. |

and it's only 3 songs so far, we don't know what to expect.
like the butcher said, fans who like almost here are in for a real suprise, and i'm hoping it's going to be a good suprise. |

agreed. at the KAB tent at Warped, the cast I saw was painted by him and it was beautiful.
I haven't heard anything from the new record. But my mom is letting me pre-order it because it drops when we are in florida on vacation, and I wanted to get it ASAP.
Tbh, I only read like, the first paragraph of that dudes review. I like The Cab...
But I... ugh. I don't really know what to think. Reading your posts, I feel like this album is going to be a dissappointment, but I can't allow myself to think that because TAI have never dissappointed me before, and hopefully never will.
And I told my mom they were going on tour in October, and she was all. "Ohhhh So you're hinting you want The Academy Is... as your birthday present again this year?" because last year we drove to New Hampshire to see them and it was amazing.<3
And she likes TAI, so there is a HUGE chance I can go see them again. |
