I can't think of a good word.
It wasn't made to be frat humor so much as people,
made it frat humor.
Anyway, yeah.
Because of that,
people sorta latched onto it.
either that or Shaant has WAY too much say in what's popular and what's not in the world. |

The weird and old news article ;
absolutepunk.net:Tonight at the Say Anything show in Los Angeles, California (The El Rey), vocalist Max Bemis was attacked by a random sweaty, bald and shirtless man in the middle of set closer "Belt". The man, who appeared to be trying to kiss the singer, grabbed Max by the torso, badly ripping his Neil Diamond t-shirt in several places, and was finally wrenched off by 5 stagehands and Parker Case. The audience was unsure as to whether or not the act was staged until one of the guitiarists said, "That was weird..." and Max came back out and said, "There's really nothing you can say about that--someone must've really liked our music, I guess."
Then, moments into encore "Admit It!!!", a copycat crime was performed by a slightly younger shirtless man, who ran from the same side of the stage and first latched onto the bassist, then wrapped his hands tightly around Max's neck, partially choking him as he sang the song. This time several more helpers leapt to Max's rescue, but they had a harder time prying the man off of Bemis. Max held his ground amazingly and didn't flinch, stop singing or even seem shaken, except for a nasty glance at the second perpetrator. Upon conclusion of the show he walked to the rail smiling and shook hands with the audience.
