Just so you know, I don't count "emo" as a genre anymore. Most bands that people call emo (MCR, P!ATD, FOB, AFI, The Used et al) are basically the darker side of punk.
In the 90s there were bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and Fugazi that were genuine emo, but that genre doesn't really exist anymore. |
