Please? Just because you worked hard and lost doesn't mean the awards are bad.
Don't take these awards so seriously, it's not like they were put in place to make people feel like shit, even though thats what awards usually end up doing anyway.
Calm down, have fun, write for yourself.
Don't crank out poems because you want to win an award, write the poems because you want to write them for you.
Write them and don't badger people to vote for you by going "please vote for me as poet of the month."
That pisses a lot of people off.
If you write them because you want to, not because you want the stars, and accept criticism, work hard and improve, people take notice. |
