I play. I honestly don't like it all that much and I've been playing for 4 years I think, but eh, it's not the best.
Saxamaphones never get any good music. It's always the craptastic background stuff that all sounds the same. And I'm too lazy to go buy more D:

I've bought a sax and I'm getting lessons from september, I oughta really be practicing but I can't really be bothered because its so much hard work compared to other instruments so I just go play something else instead.

I played for a few years when I was younger. I ended up switching schools and the school band where I went to was way ahead of where I was, so I quit, but it was a pretty fun experience. I kind of regret giving it up, because a few years later I got into ska and the only ska band around here is in dire need of any kind of horns section.

Me, I do!

Played since I was...uh...8 or 9 I think...I got given an alto because the tenor was resting on the floor when I held it...

Playing with an orchestra is always rubbish since no one really writes for it classically - I will never forget the conversation I had with our music teacher when she produced "Air on a G String" and told me I was playing the 1st part...there is no G string on a saxophone - I will leave you to imagine how craptastic it sounded...
Best thing I ever played was the theme tune from Wallace and Gromit (as the headteacher and the guest speaker (who I knew) walked up onto the stage on speech day) or Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty.

ive been playing alto sax since 4th grade, so ive been playing for around six years. but just the last couple months im really trying to get serious about my playing. i thik its cause all the lead altos are graduating this year and ill be lead next year :/

but im really trying to improve my tone quality. my middle notes, like f#, g, and a all sound like crap. does anyone have any tips to make them sound any better? thanks ;]
