 I love to play it, and I find it hilarious that in band class we get all the melodies and most of the attention is on us, even though the trumpet players are the ones that tend to show off like they're the best.
...just memorizing songs for parades is a pain in the ass and when it rains or its cold your fingers hurt like hell playing. |

I play the Bb, I'm currently first chair at my school.
I was 3rd chair in All- County, and this year am planning to move onto All-District and maybe all-state.
Although I'd say the clarinet is a very dirty instrument.

I've played Bb clarinet for about five years, and last year I picked up the bass clarinet.
I prefer the bass over Bb, because it's just so... cool. XD
A lot of the music I play with my Bb is transposed and usually written for flute, which makes it about ten times harder, because of the runs and all that.
Bass clarinet requires an awesome lung capacity, but the music is a lot easier to play.
