Danibabi! Thinking Happy Thoughts

Ice-Cold Flames:does anyone else think that some of the b-side tracks are better then some of the songs in the album??? I SERIOUSLY believe they should have put Heaven Help Us on TBP then House of Wolves, i hate that song so much and i don't really know why, House of Wolves just annoys me....
I do love the b sides but when you put a song like Heaven Help Us up against something as big as Mama or Welcome To the Black Parade..it just doesn't compare...
I definitely see their reasons for excluding the b sides
They aren't as creative or risky as some of the songs on TBP. I remember reading an interview (probably AP or Revolver) where Gerard said that after they wrote Mama, every song after that was compared to it. If the b sides had been on the album, i think TBP would have a serious lack in quality.
I do love the b sides though (they're addictive.. haha) |

I agree with that completely.
But honestly, I think that Heaven Help Us should have without a doubt been included on the album. It definetly compares to (if not overshadows) a few songs on the album. Granted, you really cannot compare it to Mama and say that it's a better song, but I really do believe that it is one of the better songs that was released with The Black Parade. |

wow that is a long quote.
but i definetly agree with that.
i do however think heaven help us should've been on tbp
the first time i heard it i was like freaking outt. but yes when you compare
it to something like mama it gets overshadowed. but really,
compare anything to mama and it will get overshadowed.
i guess you could say the other bsides were less....epic. if thats the word i'm
looking for.
oh well. nevertheless i loveee b sides.
has anyone figured out when the new ones are being released? |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 85 | June 1st, 2007 at 02:05am haha you have no idea how common this 'they should've put these b-sides on the album' is, but it's not really up to us to say what gets put on the album, i mean, people may hate songs like house of wolves, but I'm a person who absolutely ADORES that song, so when a band does one thing, there's always gonna be for or against it... if i make any sense haha.
I'm not against the b-sides, I love them, but does it really matter? we still hear them
and where are those teenagers b-sides anyhow? |

Because they are on their own, they don't overshadow or get overshadowed by any other song.
They stand out.
But if they were on TBP then we wouldn't recognise them.
I hope that makes sense! |
