I know really.
Like I was upset yesterday and that song made me feel better.

Someone on INO had some lyrics in their sig [I think it might have been you. XD]
and i got the song on limewire,
and i was shocked, in a good way of course.
They are amazing, like so unique.
More people should listen to them.

I'm so happy now, because like...
Not enough people listen to this band.
And it makes me sad since they have a great message.
And their music is better than any other band that's on MTV.
YEAH BUT NO PROBLEM.

I made my dad listen to them and he said they sounded like a marching band.
He just doesn't understand ska. XDDD

That is sad how bands like this don't get noticed.
If more people listened to them, they would be a big hit.
I just know it.

LOL, i don't listen to too much ska.
But im really into them.
I wonder if they sell their CD anywhere around town.

It there any release date for it?
Or is it too early for them to tell?

Its been about a week and half now i've been listening to them and im pretty much obsessed.
I wish i knew more people who knew about them. -_-
No one at school has any idea who they are, it sucks.

There's no release date yet.
But Tomas has said it's gonna be done by the end of the decade.
Which doesn't really help.

Haha. Yeah. They did that to me too.
I haven't stopped listening to them since July (?).
I first heard A Moment of Violence and fell in love with his voice.
And now I'm obsessed.

I'm gonna make my friend listen to them.
She DESPISES ska though. Haha.

Edit: Apparently, the release date for the album will be posted this month.
But knowing them, they probably meant the August of next year.

XD
I hope it doesn't take them too long.
But i guess the longer they work on it, the better it will be?

He does have like a really unique voice, its very different from most singers.
He sings super fast though.
Its hard to keep up. Im always about 10 words behind.
Lmao. XD

My one friend use to listen to Catch 22.
[She was actually going to give me their CD to try out a few months ago, but she lost it before i got to listen to it.]
Im not sure if she knows about Streetlight Manifesto though.
Her taste in music changes a lot.
Skas not really popular where i live. People are very close-minded when it comes to music where i live.

Well, they released Everything Goes Numb in 2003.
Then they did their cover of Keasbey Nights (which I personally like better than Catch 22's XDDD) in 2006.
And Somewhere in the Between's original release date was in January.
Then it got bumped (I can't confirm this, though).
And so now we are back to where we started.
So, it's been a while since they've released an original album.

I agree. He sings SOOOOOOOO fast.
I cannot keep up.
And has anyone noticed he talks about guns a lot?
Even in Keasbey Nights?

Currently I'm obsessed with the bridge in That'll Be the Day.
Amazingness. <333333333

LOL.
I want to listen to Catch 22's version.
Because i just have Streetlight Manifestos version on my iPod right now.
DX Ahhh, January was awhile ago.
Im guessing they will release it soon, because they probably have everything down.
Yeah, its been a long time. Some bands release CDs like every year.

The funny part about it is that even though he sings fast,
you can still understand what hes saying. XD
Either hes naturally a fast talker/singer or that took a lot of work.
Lmao.
I know i realized that too. He probably likes guns a lot, im guessing.
XD Hes talks about them in a lottttt of the songs.

Yeah, i like that part too.
Currently my favorite song right now is On & On & On.

The CD is apparently done and wrapped up but still no release date. D:

On & On & On is pwnage.
Have you heard Supernothing?
Gawd. Tomas wrote kick ass songs even when he was 15.
And there's an interview of Tomas.
And he was talking like a normal person. xDDD
And I love how the guy said,
"Alright, we're here with Tomas from Catch- Streetlight Manifesto."
Tomas: -awkward laugh-
LMFAOOOOO.

It's here if you want it.

My god. That sucks so much. D=

No. D=
That was the one song limewire wouldn't let me dowload.
Ugh.
He wrote some of those songs when he was 15? Cheese
Wow.
Ooooo. Do you have this interview?
I want to hear him talk. XD
Lmaoooooo.
I was listening to Catch 22's music on their myspace tonight.
Ehhh. They're ok. =\
There not anything great though.
They would be a lot better if they had Tomas's lyrics and voice still. XD

Ohhh. Thank you. =DDD

The link for the interview is at the bottom of my last post. XDDDD

Tomas' first band was called Gimp, and he wrote Supernothing while being in Gimp.
And then the song got into Keasbey Nights but the original version was slower
So ya. XDDD
I'm sure Wikipedia explains it better than I do:

quote:
The song was first written when Kalnoky was in his teens, for his old band, Gimp. The Song has appeared on the Gimp EP, Smiles for Macavity, the Catch 22 demo EP Rules of the Game, the debut Catch 22 album (which Kalnoky was also a former member of) Keasbey Nights, and the Streetlight Manifesto remake of Keasbey Nights. In its original form, it is played as a slow, song, utilizing soft acoustic strumming with a violin solo performed by Kalnoky's brother, Achilles (who also played violin in Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution). In its second form, on Keasbey Nights, it is much faster, with a full ska band, including trombone, trumpet, and saxophone. This form is also used on the Streetlight Manifesto version of the song.

Tbh, I haven't really given Catch 22 a chance after hearing a shitload of stuff.
Like, when Tomas left, the band went downhill and the music wasn't as good.

Anyways, I'll upload Supernothing for you and edit this post once it's done.

Here it is.
Btw, it's in wma format and uploaded to Fileden.
I hope you don't mind.

Oooooooooooooooooh ok. Shifty2
Yeah, i lack a lot of common sense. >>

Thats so cool.
LOLOLOL. Thats a funny name for a band. XD
It reminds me of the photo editing program. Lmao.

The lead singer for Catch 22 doesn't have that great of a voice.
Its nothing amazing. And the lyrics aren't that great either.

Thank you so much. =DDD

I love this video. Mainly because of what Tomas says in the beginning.
And because I love when they zoom up to Chris.

WHEN THEY COME FOR ME
I'LL BE SITTING AT MY DESK
WITH A GUN IN MY HAND
WEARING A BULLETPROOF VEST
SINGING MY, MY, MY HOW THE TIME DOES FLY
WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO DIE
BY THE END OF THE NIGHT.

Awesome chorus.

And lmfao @ "WE'LL PLAY WHATEVER THE FUCK WE WANT."

I love the transition between Point/ Counterpoint and Keasbey Nights.
And Tomas looks like a freaking teddy bear.

And I know what you mean by most of the fans in that video being male.
I only saw about 2 girls.

Ohhhh i know.
=DDD It really is.

LOLOL.
I want know why he said that.
XD

LMFAOOOO.
I think its because of his outfit.
XD I actually have a really old teddy bear that looks like that.

Maybe its just because of where they were.
Maybe there isn't many female fans in that area.
Im not sure though.
