I think that banners are great because they have a huge opportunity for creativity, since they're big enough to have a good chunk of space to take advantage of, but small enough that good pictures, brushes, etc. are readily available.
So with that in mind, I felt like there needed to be a banner competition as well. This is not meant to infringe on the icon competition, it's simply another opportunity to see what you can do.
I'll post submissions on Friday and winners on Tuesday, if that sounds okay. If it doesn't, tell me, I can try and change it around.
One submission each, PM it to me, must be yours and previously unseen and all that, you know it from the icon competition.
First challenge:
This is not anything extraordinarily inventive, sorry. I figure I'll improve with the challenges, but so far, this is what you've got.
I want something that has a plant as its focal point. Flower, tree, whatever. It can be a photograph, or a drawing, or something animated, or whatever you may find, it just has to be a plant, and it has to be the focus, not just off to the side.
And I've probably forgotten something, feel free to ask any questions.

Maybe I'll give dimension limits next time or something, but not for now. |

Maybe do it so that there is just 2 or 3 days in between the submissions being posted and the winners/new contest announced? And you may want to put a set of rules up, just to clarify what is and isn't allowed. Kind of like in the Icon Competition, because newbs to the section might come here first. |
