Switchblade Saint:Dear Gerard, Ray, Bob, Mikey and Frank,
When I was 4 yrs old I was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. The doctors tried everything and my parents spent a fortune trying to cure me. It seemed at first all their efforts had paid off. Then one summer in July, when I was 16, it struck again. And this time it wouldn't subside.
Ever since then I have been determined to live every day as if it were my last. I rode a rollercoaster five times over. I travelled to Europe. I spent hours and hours with my dearest friends. I danced in the rain. At the time I'm writing this (and I hope this reaches you) I am 21 and still hanging on. But I know I won't last much longer. The doctors estimate I have about a year left. Though I accept this and have made my peace with fate, there is only one thing I have not done. And I know this is not a usual request, but I hope you will find the time to grant me my last request.
