från Livejournal:

A couple of songs in, Gerard announced that Frank's had to leave the tour for the time being and fly straight home because of "personal reasons/issues". He said that they were all thinking of him, and were missing him already. He said Frank would be back, not to worry.

Så här säger dom på NME.com

My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero has dropped out of the band's world tour, leaving them with just three full-time members.

Iero left the tour following Sunday's show (November 11) in Newcastle after learning of a family member's illness.

He will be temporarily replaced by guitar tech Matt Cortez, who already has experience up on stage. It was he who stood in on bass for Mikey Way when he took a six-month hiatus from the band earlier this year after getting married.

However, this latest news leaves My Chemical Romance with only Gerard and Mikey Way, plus lead guitarist Ray Toro, as the only permanent members on the current tour.

Drummer Bob Bryar is already having sit dates out after persistent wrist complaint became worse. Bryar is still travelling with the band however, assisting with the show's pyrotechnics.

He is being replaced by "a friend of ours named Pete who plays in another band, so has asked us kindly not to say the name," according to Gerard Way.

The singer assured NME.COM that fans will still get a full throttle, if slightly altered, MCR experience: "We've been through a lot of stuff on this record, dealt with life situations and stuff. Ultimately it's gonna be a little different and look a little different, but we're ready for this."

jag läste också det. Jag tror det va NME eller nån annan tidning som sa "due to a family members illness" eller nåt åt det hållet.

My Chemical Romance member update:

My Chemical Romance are currently two members down from their usual ranks.

Since their show on November 12 in Aberdeen, the New Jersey rock titans have been without the tub-thumping skills of Bob Bryar and the guitar-licks of Frank Iero.

Speaking exclusively to Kerrang!, vocalist Gerard Way explains the temporary departure of both members:

"Bob has problems with his wrists," says the singer. "He has cysts on his right wrist on the tendons, he can't grip anything and he has no use of his hand. We have an old friend Pete standing in on drums."

"Frank has had a family emergency and had to go home," he adds. "That happens sometimes. We have Matt Cortez filling in, in his place."

"They are both happy for the show to keep going," he reveals. "That’s the way we do things!"

Guitarist Ray Toro has the following to say on the subject:

"It's definitely different playing without them," he says. "Not only musically, but the presence on stage too. You miss looking at their faces. You miss their energy on stage. But we are doing the best we can."
