i am far from homophobic and i love that song.
these days saying to someone 'your gay' and 'that's so gay' has nothing to do with sexuality.
it is more like 'your lame'.
the meaning of the word has changed, like it changed from happy to homosexual.
i think katy is trying to have a bit of fun with her music. |

Agreed - my children dub everything "gay" when it doesn't cooperate with them, and they also all have gay biffles. The word just happens to have two connotations now, that's all. Katy does appear to be having some difficulty with accidentally offending people, doesn't she? |

i saw her at Warped in Pennsylvania, i was very close to the stage =] (only one person was in front of me, and as i remember, they were short =] )
i'm actually listening to her right now... hahaha
and her songs on that album remind me of New York City now, because when i went to PA with my dad, stepmother, and sister, we also went to New York. and we listened to her a lot in the car. yay! |
