Anyone doing anything special for Valentine's Day this week? Going out anywhere with your boy/girl-friend? If you're single, are you doing anything with your other single friends?

Myself, considering I'm too lazy to look what day of the week V-Day even falls on, I will probably just spend mine like any other day of the week. Probably doing homework or working on my thesis paper. I don't have a boyfriend or anything.

I'll be doing, and receiving, nothing probably.
My husband 'doesn't believe in that commercialised crap' (yet is always happy to accept Christmas presents etc) so I won't be taken out to dinner, won't be getting flowers and definitely won't be getting chocolate.

I might buy him something small just because, you know, I'm *such* a nice person... and because I never know, he might surprise me with a little something and I'll feel bad if I haven't got him anything.
I bought him flowers last year, he got me nothing hahahaha. But he always spoils me on our wedding anniversary so that makes up for it, I just have to wait until April - and the bonus there is that the restaurant we go to for dinner is practically empty in mid-April, unlike V-Day when you can't get a table in the entire town to save yourself, so yeah, it's good.

probably nothing.
I'm probably going to be out of town with my mom and brother, so i won't get to see my fiancè on the actual day.
But probably the day before. I don't know whether he's planning anything special or not.
I got him a cute little bear thats holding a heart that says "be mine"
(:
honestly i would be completely satisfied with just being able to spend the whole day with him, but that's near impossible.

My roommate's all have boyfriends/girlfriend's, so that means I'll either be in the house alone while their out or stuck in the house when they're all in their rooms doing god knows what. (:

I'm thinking about hooking up with some friends that live on campus, see if there's some sort of decent gig to go to.
There's actually this bar downtown that has these really loud, angry bands every weekend that none of my other friends will go to, so I'm hoping they will. xD

My brother is getting married on Valentine's Day,
so I'll be decorating and cooking all day Friday.
And I'm in the wedding, as the second bridesmaid, so I don't have any plans besides that.
I'm really excited. (:

My mom and brothers are going out of town and my step-dad works at the prison from 2pm-10pm.
So I'll be basking in the silence.

Tehe Me and my friend are gonna send a rose to a teacher as a joke lmfao "Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm free tonight, how about you?" xD

I've never gotten a rose before and I'm not that fussed. -shrugs-

They sell roses at school; single roses for £2.00, singles roses to be delivered for £2.50, half a dozen for £12.50 and a whole dozen for £20. No offence but who would spend £20 on roses for someone they'll probably dump/get dumped by in a few weeks. lmfao

I just hope there's some homophobic idiots ther who will be annoyed by us. xD

When I was in high school, they did the usual carnations for $1. But the madrigals also had sign-ups to perform songs. For $5, all you had to do was fill out a card with your name, the person's name getting sung to, their classroom and time, and which song you wanted to be sung. Seriously, they would interrupt class and then you'd get embarrassed in front of everyone. I never sent or received a performance from a guy, but me and all my friends sent them to each other.

Idk what I'm doing. I'm supposed to go build a fence at my grandparents' (wtf family, I have a bf), and if we don't go do that, I have no idea what we're going to do. I don't want to sit on my butt and expect anything, but last year I went out of my way and got nothing lol, so I am not really wanting to try this year. Weird I know.

Ooh, we never had singing!! We had the handing out flowers thing, but roses instead of carnations (and yes, we frickin' paid for roses too, I think they got up to $4 a pop the year I graduated)... one year my boyfriend bought three roses for me but the girl who took his 'order' screwed up my form class (she thought he said '11T2' instead of '11K2'), so I'm sitting there thinking 'He didn't get me *anything*!' until my maths class when they finally tracked me down and gave me the flowers. Which was embarrassing even more than getting them in form class because then it was like, 'HAHAHA HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW YOUR FORM CLASS!!' gah.
It was okay though because he surprised me at lunchtime with a 'proper' bouquet of roses, a huge teddy, a box of chocolates and a silver bracelet he'd seen me admiring in the jeweller's window like a month beforehand.

A lot of the girls at school had older boyfriends who didn't attend school anymore, they were always in trouble on Valentines' Day because their boyfriends would have huge bouquets delivered to the office and girls would get notes telling them they had to come collect them.. so teachers would be pissy because the girls were not only missing class by going down to the office, but then they'd come back with this gigantic arrangment (usually accompanied by a teddy bear the size of a toddler, too) and it was 'distracting' to the rest of the class having it sit next to their desk.

Oh, and now I know I'm *definitely* not getting anything for Valentines' this year. We're fighting again. Sad The couch is really uncomfortable in summer Sad

oh my goodness you have no idea how much I love sending Valentine's.
I assume you live in australia because it's summer for you so it would probably not get there on time but if you want to give me your address I will make you a flyyy card and you can open it in front of your husband and be all "oh a secret admirer from the states? whoever could have done this?"
