We have noticed lately that there have been some incidents of what can only be described as bullying & flaming.

We, as staff have discussed this and have agreed that it is completely unacceptable for this kind of behaviour to be occurring on INO.

The irony is, there have been reports of "flaming" and these "noticable" reports are not the ones that have really concerned us. There have been a huge amount of jokes made at other users expense. Jokes that even when the person they are about is in the thread, they do not realise that everyone else is blatently laughing at them. We personally, find it really cruel. People who have reported some users for what they consider flaming (which is quite often being tactless, yes, but not flaming) are at the forefront of laughing at other users and verging on bullying.

There can be no more subtle or blatant posting that boils down to flaming/bullying. This applies to posts that people may make that do not include the name of the user who they are referring to but it is more than obvious to many other users including the person it refers to who it is about and also posts that might basically boil down to "no, I do not like you".
When posting bear in mind if you have nothing nice to say about another user, then say nothing - it is that simple.
It is not asking much that we all treat each other in the way each of us would like to be treated. We have the feeling that that sentiment is being forgotten somewhat on INO at present.

Also, any drama occurring on other social networking sites (i.e. twitter, facebook etc) relating to INO users should be kept off INO if it is likely it will cause issues on here. The last thing we want is to be coming into threads laying down the law because arguments have broken out due to this.

If these incidents do not stop immediately, we will be forced to consider taking a zero tolerance approach.

People have been banned for incidents like this before and it will happen again if this warning is not heeded, however, we are very hopeful that it will not have to come to that.

This post is not intended as a threat, it is however a reminder to follow the rules and the possible consequenses of not doing so.

There are rules on INO for a reason and regardless of how long people have been here the rules still have to be followed.

Feel free to PM any of the staff if you have any questions relating to this post.

Thanks
The Staff

OK, so some concerns on our behalf that this thread was posted on the 30th and today there are still bullying references in some threads. Those of you doing it know exactly what you're doing (snide references to people, posting nasty things then changing it really quickly thinking that no one else will notice, some of you have even questioned that the jokes you are making are a little mean), and the bottom line is it has to stop.

If we continue to see bullying behaviour there will be bannings

No one wants to get heavy handed or to make threats to people, but this whole situation is getting out of hand Sad
