The reason they started the band was because of the Trade Center bombings
Gerard felt that making music was one way to help this messed up world
and Skylines was the first step to that by writing for the people that where physically/mentally wounded by the attack.

The Black Parade, it’s the one that brought them out into the mainstream approach of music.
Everyone at my school only knows TBP, cos it’s the song that blew them up, too much in some fans cases.

good point, but i don't think it sums up the sound of the band..
it shows why they started it in the first place, but helena, im not okay, or welcome to the black parade gives you really the sound of the band..
though i think each record has its own signature song, but i guess that's just me XD |
