I know everyone says this, but they've helped me to feel that I am not alone.
That other people in this world have been made fun of and have never been the "cool" guys, and can still succeed and make something of it.
They've taught me to be more accepting of people.
They've taught me to really and truly love myself.
And, in this past year I started having severe panic attacks and anxiety issues, but knowing that Mikey went through a similar ordeal made me feel like I wasn't a freak.
It sounds so "emo" to say that I've cried at every My Chem show I've ever gone to, but they have never been tears of sadness.
They are always tears of joy.
It's such an amazing feeling to see your heroes in person, playing those songs that have gotten you through the lowest points in your life.
I feel so lucky and even blessed to have them in my life. |

Posts: 31 | June 23rd, 2008 at 01:26am My parents got divorced about 3 years ago, and I was really depressed. Listening to My Chem, I know they experienced depression. Now that I found out we're moving across country, I've gotten even more depressed. My friends are trying to make me feel better, and I listened to Famous Last Words and it really helped me out. They helped me get past school related issues and issues with myself. |

I finally realized that any love you gain as someone besides yourself doesn't mean a thing because you yourself haven't gained anything meaningful. I am so thankful for mcr and all that they have done for me. My biggest lifetime dream is to just meet them and simply tell them how much I look up to them, and how they make me feel like I don't have to go through things alone. Everything from now on and forever in my life, I will have them in the back of my mind telling me things are going to be ok. My Chemical Romance are my guardian angels. |

Posts: 2300 | July 20th, 2008 at 03:59am Hmm, let me see. I don't want to talk about my past life again, as I have done this morning with a freind... But I have to say that MCR kept me from killing myself, and not just that, there was lots more.
So, Gerard Way later on ispired me to go on with my poetry, which is going GREAT now xD.
Also he inspired me to draw more often, and those are just the headings ^,,,^.
At least I know that with the help of MCR, I won't leave this country (Which is my dream), I won't leave it unless I give them hell and break out! then go make my dreams come to life.
And now I know there are seven diffrent shades of shit! I can live depending on myself, not needinga shoulder to cry on for nothing.
They'll never take me alive xD. NEVER!

In times that are challenging, MCR gives me a huge feeling of hope that I don't believe exists in any other band I know of. In the words of Gerard in LOTMS, "it's okay to be messed up because there's 5 dudes just as messed up as you, and we've overcome that." |

Posts: 352 | July 21st, 2008 at 04:25pm life is a challenge. something that noone can explain in a couple words. its a mer-act of rights and wrongs that curculate everyones life, constantly, 24/7. and when we feel like nothing in the world can change fate or karma, we the people of imnotokay.net, notice that My Chemical Romance has the power to do so. and because of this, they save lives: spiritually, mentally, physically, emotinally, and socially. MCR could of made there music something totally useless. but they decided that its fine to be encouraging and diffferent. they noyciced that we need help, like they did too. thats what i believe. |

Posts: 93 | July 25th, 2008 at 12:16pm MCR have done alot for me as a little kid. i went thru depression bc mt doctor gave me depressants as sleeping pills, since i had trouble sleeping, they gave me a huge effect, causing me to hurt myself in class, but later on, i went to a friends house where we watched videos, and up came "Helena". That song ended my depression. MCR had a great effect on me. they made me realize how the world is beautiful. they saved me from the negativity that came across me. |

Their music is both an escape, and a dose of realism at the same time. They've helped shape me into a happier, more peaceful, and better person. They rekindle my everflickering faith in this world and the people on it. The sheer amount of emotion and beauty in their music is enough to cancel out all the ugly the world has to throw at you. They're my forcefield and my security blanket. The pillow beneath my head.
I'm at a point where I don't know who or what to believe. But I know one thing: that this band is something real and powerful and safe, and is just what I always needed to believe in. And I always will. |
